Gamestop Pre-orders

In a previous thread of mine, I was told that the Gamestop first-day pre-rders won't make it to us until the 24th. Does this apply to everyone or is it even true.
Would amazon.com be a better alternative?

I've order many things off Gamestops site.
As long as you overnight it, it will should there on release day.
It has always worked for me, and I've bought 6 games like that.
My last game ordered like that, Starcraft 2, was at my door at around noon release day.
Both are fine sites order from.
Dunno amazon says mine will be here on the 22nd, works for me.
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.

Maybe it will arrive 23rd, maybe 24th. I checked the GS order page again and it says ships 22nd (which means 23rd at best) but below it says 'Allow 1 business day for transit & 1 business day for processing' which to be might mean the 24th.
In any event, I felt it better to be safe than sorry and go to Amazon and pay the .99 same day price. I'll give the 2nd copy to my brother.
