Or just another heavily instanced game with an 'MMO' badge simply because your progression is saved server-side? If it's an MMO, I'm definately going to try it.
Cheers!

It's an MMO if you consider Guild Wars an MMO.
Ahh, definately not for me then.
Cheers for the reply anyhow , saved me a lot of time there.

I say if your a fan of more action based combat to give the game a try despite it not being an open world MMO.
Not only that, it is very heavily cash shop/item mall dependent...
Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware
"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."
Uhh .. how would you know? The cash shop hasn't even opened up yet.
Screw it, thinking of giving it a go regardless, might be good to have a casual hack n slash RPG on the go. I loved the Phantasy Star series afterall.
Now how would I go about getting a key? hehe

If you have capped bandwidth, don't bother. All the multiplayer is hosted on individual players computers, whoever formed the party "hosts" the dungeon. The only thing really hosted by Nexon is the lobby ( town). There is no "world" for you to explore, just instanced dungeons you access from the town.
-Letting Derek Smart work on your game is like letting Osama bin Laden work in the White House. Something will burn.-
-And on the 8th day, man created God.-
This is true, I played with someone last night who was playing from europe, and the dungeon was hosted on his PC. Lag like you wouldn't believe.
This game reminds me a lot of phantasy star, but the combat seems more advanced mechanically. I liked the choices I had more on phantasy star though.
If you need a key I think I sitll have 1, just message me if you need it.
The game sounds similar to how Diablo works. If the dungeons run off of people's computers wouldn't it be open to loot hacking and/or character ability hacking?
Reminds me of Huxley, Guild Wars, and DDO.
Not bad mind you. Fun short term entertainment, nothing enduring here.
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
As Teroni said Vindictus is a fast, fun game that can be picked up and played every now and then, but is not a persistent world MMO.
It is real easy to log in, grab a group and run a dungeon. In fact, the early dungeons take like 5 minutes to run through.
Graphics are nice, combat is fast and fluid, and you can grab your enemy and bash them against a wall, throw em at another enemy, and kick em when they are down.
i find Vindictus a geat change of pace compared to what is currently out there.
Dont know since I am from europe, and we can reg and get key and install but we cant play it seems.
Not a true MMO, IMO. More like a lobby-based match online multi-player. When you're in a group, the group leader hosts the group via p2p and there's a connection meter for each member of the group. It's kind of an interesting and fun game. Cool console-style narrative, a pretty town/lobby and easy grouping, but almost no communication between players and the official forums make me want to stick a fork in my eyes.
As to the IP blocks, they're either there to ensure quality group play or because there will eventually be different regional servers or publishers, IMO>

This is deffo a game you can't have as your main squeeze, because there is very little in the way of dungeons atm, and it's easy to burnout if you go at it all the time. You should keep it as a standby, but other than that, it's f**king awesome so far.
