Concerning Invictus

Ok if this an MMO or what. Finally got a key (Thanks to Planor) I'm not trolling...

What's the deal with everyone wearing robes but me after you go into the "world"

Messed around in the prologue a bit solo

Love the combat style

Finally got on a group and we all looked exactly alike and didn't seem to be any combat specific classes/roles

Is this the way it's gonna always be?

I can see some potential here but I want more char customization and those ugly brown robes must go. Hopefully this is just cause it's BETA and they will add more later

Would love to see different character classes bein able to use this awesome combat system.

Imagine: Mages, rogues, hunters, priests, Warriors, and Paladins all utilizing this type of combat in a strucrured way in a group

That could be freeking incredible

Of course I'm sure that ain't gonna happen cause if it did my faith in any MMO these days might actually be restored...somewhat.

Haven't been impressed with a new MMO in a loong time.

Well it is a an MMO... however there arnt classes but Characters each have their own profesion, you cannot change teh gender as that's locked, however you can customize settings regarding the robes to show the armor sets, I don't know how but I did read it on their FAQ section.

I can't play as im in the EU.... only USA and canada can play it.

First this game is a free game .. and i would call this game a MMO lite ...    it's mostly an Instanced game with some mmo features.

Also for beta there are only two classed to pick from right now

    Ahhh cool

Guess I didn't fiddle with the options enough yet

Hmmm wonder if there is a way to move your interface elements around

Bugs me the quickbar is at the top left side of screen

The chat box is at bottom Right side

It makes me feel like i'm playing standing on my head or somethin

What's up with not bein able to play in EU but it's ok for people in the rest of the known world to play

Maybe they will change that after release

Speaking of release, It's gonna be free-to-play right so what's the difference in open beta and F2P anyways?

But can you imagine how much fun this could be if they had classes and each class had thier own custom combat animations tailored for each class using this type of combat style?

Oh and everyone not looking like everyone else or course

Now why can't a game developer simply make an MMO like that?

It would be incredible to have combat like that in a conventional MMO.

(keeping fingers crossed for Gods and Heros)

Beta is their test stage, they want to iron out the bugs, probably do some test's with the community, see what the interest is going to be like... just be warned instances are run off the hosts internet.. so  make sure the host has a decent bandwidth lol

The armor display button is on the very bottom of the screen almost smack dab in the middle.  It has three options if I remember right, one to show helms, one to show robes, and the other to show full armor.  The reason for this is to speed up the loading process when there are a lot of people in one spot.  It saves on texture loading.

    It's a Jeep thing. . .

Open beta is not a trial at least not for f2p games. It's quite obvious isn't it? It's probably ok to think of open beta as a trial on games you have to pay, but what about this? Yep, that's right, it's the bug fixing and content adding not the payment.

I bet when the cash shops open up that is when we will see more character armor variety.  I am sure if you want to look somewhat unique you will have to fork over some cash.

Actually there are some Armor "stories" (read quests) that you can purcase from one of the Npc's in the game already.

I have not done them yet, but there were several different armor stories there to buy and do so all one need to do is go do one to make it seem a bit diff than the others at the moment.

But yes I am guessing that the CS will have heaps o appearence items for sale as well as updated character creation options.
