same here image i didn't waste 650,00 dollars on games these 3 months but i have the same problem that i first love the game and the play trough it in 1 day or dont even like it anymore because its all the same all the time, im a diehard gamer, but at this rate my life will be very black without any games that i can play for 1 year or more

comon guys you should be smarter then this. ;) the only thing I dont like in mmorpg is monthly fee.

considering that almost all good mmorpgs monthly subscription cost around $12/month you will waste $10k dallors on lifetime membership. Not really huge amount of money...

Try an online FPS or sports game. Human competition is a lot tougher than AI.

start buying games for their online play, not singleplayer anymore. that is your problem. single player games arnt ment to last long at all, other than a month or so.

try buying halflife2 or doom3 or something and beat it single player, then start playing online with them. or get an mmorpg and you shouldnt be burnt out for a long while.

Its not a matter of wether you beat it or not, just play it online, a human is infinitely more challenging than a simple AI, thats what makes online play fun and enjoyable for a long time. As for new games, i usually dont play new MMO's unless they have free trials, so at least ill know if I like it or not before I buy/subscribe to it. As for MMOs, try mastering it with every class before unsubscribing :). I wish i had the will and the patience to accomplish such a task myself.

I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

Even after all these years I still see to get sucked in too. Im much better now, I used to rush out and buy everything on the shelf, then a week later read 8 reviews that confirmed my opinion the game suxored.

These days I REALLY do try and wait for a few reviews before I buy anything... but Im still a suckerimage

(Regarding lineage II)Lengthy download though, and I dont think there is a free trial available.

(Regarding post above me) Thats kinda why I try a free trial, but most big games dont have a trial available..which sucks, so you are forced to dish out big money to buy a potentially crappy game image.

    I have 3 simple rules:
    1) I don't ever buy a new game
    2) I always attempt to get the games I want for Birthday/Christmas
    3) Failing that I wait until they're 19.95 or less on the clearance rack (Just got MechAssault for my X-Box for $14 :))

That being said, the single BEST method Ive found to prevent wasting money on games I'll burn out on in no time flat:

    Play an MMO

EQ saved me roughly hmm... Before I got into it I'd buy 2-3 games a month at $40 a pop... Once I started playing EQ I never purchased another game... got several as presents, etc, but never actually bought one.... so figure $120 a month... EQ was $9.95 for most of the time I played it.... so figure 1 year saved $120 a month (Beta baby) and for the next 5 years saved $110 a month.

After quitting EQ I played MPBT 3025 Beta till they cancelled it :( Damn EA and Micro$oft anyway! Then played various Betas and DAOC for 1yr then various betas and PlanetSide for a long ass time then SWG then got the SOE all Access Pass and have returned to never buying games :)

    Pretty good deal :)

Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.
    Sig image Pending
    Still in: A couple Betas
