Which class/powers for solo?

I'm playing the sorcerer power set atm, is it a decent option for solo play and if not which powerset would you recommend?

Mix and match to your hearts content. I haven't played it for ages but i imagine it's still the same where you can pick out the powers from whatever sets you want, most of the requirements were pretty low even for the top tier powers.
yep its still pretty mix and match, soloing isnt really a difficult thing, it's just a matter of maximizing your build. send a tell ini game if you want some help "@godzilr1";. i have might, power armor, electric, munnitions, TK blade heros. the biggest problem you'll have is making a character as you go, have a visula of what you want then use the hero builder to pic and choose your powers.
There are few powersets that really shine on their own. Most people mix them up, and if you do so in a sensible way, any will rock for solo play. The community, lead by WillBlack, put this together. http://forums.champions-online.com/showthread.php?t=110987
One thing that is not on the live servers yet are the pet changes. That might change a good bit how you would stat a sorc character. That may mean you don't want to SS Pre and Int any more if you are going for a lot of pets. I think the rest of the guide should still be unaffected. However, if you want a lot of pets you still migth want Pre for healing your pets. I had a fire/pet build that was quite good.
All that said, its almost easier for you to say what you want to be able to do with your character (which you did solo play) and how you want it to look (firey, toxic, ice, magicy, demonic). In other words, think of what you would want your character to be like if you were making a movie, and we can figure that out.
