LOTRO or should I play something else?

surstromingsurstroming Member UncommonPosts: 151

hey I can't find any good game to play atm, sure I wanna play vinductus but I can't since I'm european.

I'm looking for some fun preferably F2P mmorpg where they encourage grouping.

I played GA but its more of a PvP game than a PvE game, so I'm rly not looking for a pvp game.

so any suggestions on any group based mmo/mmorpgs?

or shud I play lotro? but I herd its more of an singleplayer game.

DDO is 100% a grouping and pve game. I don't care for it, but I have a friend who's been playing it for a super long time and still loving it so I'd give it a shot.

I haven't tried LotRO, but that's the other recommendation you see a lot with DDO. I'd try both and see which one works for you.

I'm sure there are more, but I think those 2 are probably at the top of the list when it comes to grouping + f2p + pve focused.

For how long is LotRo enjoyable playing free?

Same as the original LOTRO. All the item shop is for things like plus 10% exp bonus, you can buy weapons I believe but they are not as good as the things you get from actually playing the game.

I don't care about innovation I care about fun.

I don't really see the point in playing a game that is free 2 play.  Even if it wasn't a scam, I think of my time as worth more than 15 dollars a month.

Sure the best things in life are free, but games are not among those things.  I regret ever being duped into paying for this game, why not just make a .dat mod for WoW with LoTRO characters you would get the same effect and more people/less scam-artist producers (as Ironic as that is).

I have no problem paying for a game. if I need to pay for lotro to be able to experience more fun then I have to problem with that since I haven't had a montly sub for a while now. but how is lotro compared to vindictus? its gonna be released in europe at the end of this year so I'll get my chance then, so play lotro while I wait for vindictus or is there any other game coming out soon that is better than those stated above?

I myself am waiting for Vindictus to go global, For the meantime im still sticking to Atlantica but so ditching this for vindictus. As for LOTRO I did try it but like one poster said, youd eventually run outr of things to do if your a hardcore gamer.
