Ive been quiet the last few days, but its impossible for me to fight fluently like this.
At first, my game is okay, my fps is high, and everything seems so fluid and vibrant even on lowest settings. Then, all of a sudden, my game goes down to 1-4 fps and connection goes to one small blue bar. Im literally teleporting around the dungeons and its hard for me to even try to attack with all of the choppy animations. After around 30+ seconds or so the game reverts back into the fluent, fast gameplay which I enjoy.
15 seconds later, it happens again, and it repeats until i tire of the game and quit, trying again later.
I defraged my computer, turned off many processes, have a 2gb RAM 32-bit toshiba with Windows 7, and I believe either GeForce or Nvidia card and nothing helps it. I'm beginning to think if its my network, or just the east coast server.

Have you tried hosting a ship yourself? Remember that the game runs off of the leaders connection and it works very much like torrents do. So if the leader doesn't have a stable line then it will affect the rest of the party.
beside the fact that this a peer to peer game, for some reason some higher end computers seem to have probs with this game while others do not.
My computer is better than my girlfriends and yet my proc bottlenecks and chokes on this game (not a P2P problem) while hers plays it smooth as glass and she hsa no problems whatsoever.
I am guessing a lot has to do with optimizations still and other than that I am at a real loss, I should really have no problems with this game yet I do.
Too bad as well as I really enjoy the game when I can play it .
I've only done solo adventuring and leading a small group through one. With both I suffered horribly.
I tried to sign up for another ship, but when I waited along with everyone else, it stated no ships were available.
And finally. I also checked up on my friend who has an even worse laptop then mine and his game is tends to be even worse then mine. I do not know his specs however.
And I know what you mean Wolvie. Whenever my game doesn't lag its probably some of the most fluent combat mechanics I've played in an online game.
The lag is common for everyone right now and is most likley a problem server side. Remember the game is still in beta.

Actually, after tons of tweaking and screwing with my options. I somehow managed to stop most of the network lag from happening (Though still kinda choppy in boss fights.)
Anywho, the game has become much more enjoyable, now its just sit and wait for my Eva (I love mages owo)
Every game I joined had terrible lag, but when i hosted it seemed a lot better, but nobody ever joined my games, so I couldn't really figure out whether or not it was my connection.
ya i have the same problem
What options did you tweak exactly? Since the issue doesn't seem to be P2P-related, there's probably something else eating up your computer. And Vindictus isn't quite "solo-able" after you get past the first few missions in the second area (forgot the name ). Well....it is solo-able, but you're in for quite a long and much harder battle.
Also, are your drivers up-to-date? Do you meet (or surpass) minimum requirements? Any programs that may drain too much power while playing Vindictus? What else.....have you set your game resolution to your screen resolution?
If not, you could always try to send a Support Ticket with a DxDiag. Nexon's Customer Support usually take from 12 to 36 hours to reply, so not such a big wait. Although you might get asked the same thing I just did.
Since Vindictus works on a Peer To Peer system, you might have to open up some ports, unless you have a uPnP, then you might want to make sure it's activated.
Sadly I don't know which ports are required to open for Vindictus and Google doesn't seem to help.
