1. Ok, I understand this is an "online" game. So I just want to confirm that there will be lots of other players online that you can group with, chat with and interact with?? I want to play a mmo not really a solo rpg. Can anyone shed some light on this?
2. I understand FFxiv will be more of a PvE type game but is there any PvP based activities??
3. If this is a level based game, how many levels are there and how many characters can you create on one account??
Thanks

1. Mmhm
2. Not initially, in the near future.
3. 50+50, you don't need more than one character.
jesus, these are last minute questions. and some of the most redundant i've ever seen. i hope you get the answers from fellow mmorpg forum posters that you're looking for. i'm sure they'll be top notch. like mine.
You can create one character for the $12.99/month fee. If you want more characters you have to pay an extra $3/month.
A single character can do every single job so there is little reason to have more than one character.
1. There will be lots of players however FFXIV is more solo oriented and the chat system is wonky and very restrictive. There is very little chat in the open and it requires that you be standing nearby to hear it. The majority of your interactions with other players will be composed of old school mob races, that being whoever gets to the enemy first gets to kill it while the other watches.
2. No pvp.
3. Beta was restricted but I believe they said they will have an artificial cap that they will lift in the near future(I think they are still developing the endgame). One character but you will only really need one character as one character can be all of the classes in the game.
I am bored so I will toss yea a bone.
Yes this is a MMORPG meaning there will be multiple people playing from all over the world (minus China they get there own servers).
Currently the game is set to be 100% PVE on release however they have dropped teasers about PVP in the upcoming future just not at launch.
The lvl cap is 50 however your character has 2 levels a Physical Level and a Class Level (Here is a list of Classes). Your Physical Level rises as you gain experience no matter if your killing monsters, doing tradeskills, or completing quest. You Class Level rises as you perform actions as that class. There are 18 classes ranging from Gladiator to Blacksmith to Miner your class is determined by the weapon or tool your using in your main hand. So if your using a gladius then your a Gladiator and you will gain xp as a gladiator raising that classes lvl. Later in the day you might grab your Blacksmithing hammer to smelt some ore and now you will gain experience as a Blacksmith. So effectively there are 50+(50*18) lvls in the game. As you level up multiple classes you can combine spells and actions from each class giving your melee class the ability to cast spells like Cure (healing). You will also have to deal with a xp fatigue system that resets every week meaning you can only gain so much xp per week of game play per class. This is to level the playing field between casual and hardcore gamers. It is explained very well here Youtube Link
The pricing mentioned in the above post is correct you only get 1 character slot and that character has 1 retainer (this is like a bank and auction character rolled into 1) that you can trade with and they stay in town to sell your junk if you want. Anything extra from that you have to pay a premium however I dont think you will need it.
Ah great! Thanks for those who answered my questions.
I wasn't a beta tester and the videos floating around on you tube didn't exaclty answer my questions. I did get some answers from fellow mmorpg forum posters. I apologize if it was so painful that you just had to login in and post a response with absolutely no positive contribution.
Fixed this for you, hard to tell if you are just trolling and trying to spread misinformation, or just don't know much about the game.

Not cool, they asked nicely. =( Consider yourself chastised.
You wanted my time, so I played you. You wanted my money, I forked it over. You wanted my soul, I gave it willingly. Not to complain... but when do I get my end of the deal? And no, I don't want your flippin' carrot. If you can't do that give me back my youth and keep the change. Why don't you try chasing your own damn carrot for a change? I'll gladly hold the stick.
