Trouble to enter the payment info via Square Enix Account Site

ThorqemadaThorqemada Member UncommonPosts: 1,282

Hello, i have had some trouble to update my payment info.

When i want to register my Credit Card at step 3 of the Square Enix Site i get a message i have some wrong input done and i may correct it but no field is marked as wrong and any data is right i did check it thrice.

Well, i got a solution to work around that as i did go direct to the Click&Buy Homepage to register my Credit Card there and then only had to approve it from the Square Enix Site which did work!

But its irritating to me if its only me having trouble for some weird reason or have more people the same trouble?

For me it wouldn't innitially recognize my address I had to input repeatedly in different formats before it would accept it.

I got it to work but it was really fussy with how the address is put down (ex wouldn't accept st I had to use street)

I guess they could dumb it down so that say anyone getting close to the required detail could log in.

The registration process was seamless and simple no issues.

Your address has to match your credit card info exactly. We use a similar system at my work.

Not to derail, but did anyone get charged $2.50 just for registering their account?

Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.

Wait a second, are you telling us Click&Buy is their only payment option?

Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:

"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."

    Yeah it's Click and Buy

or buying Crysta via Paybal or Ultimatepay (paraphrased from what i read on ffxivcore)

I'm hearing they have a bad reputation.

I've never dealt with them before.

    Clickandbuy

It doesn't seem they are funky...

Ok, how much $ in Crysta do you have to buy to pay for a month subscription?

Clickandbuy, LOL, no thanks... anyone who ever played DnL knows all about them.

So if one can buy X dollars worth of crysta, and can see that balance in their SE account, then ones account is ready for launch. Is that correct?

Other than adding the game  codes, yes that is supposed to be the case.

I just logged on and bought 2K crystas, got the confirm, saw the crystals via my Crysta Passbook and got the confirmation (from paypal) email.

    One less thing to do.

I know they are using PP and Click&Buy to protect against account hacks/payment legal issues but it's an annoying system. They should have crystas in increments that allow for 1, 3 & 6 month increments, IMO. I am sure a lot of people will have minor aneurysms the first month they forget to restock their crystas and their logons stop working.

I'll just wait until I see how/what a month is going to cost me and go stock up for 3 months...and mark on my calendar to help me avoid forgetting.

Directly registering my Credit Card at the Click&Buy site worked but not at the Square Enix site which can only forward the info to Click&Buy.
I used the same Adressdata and Format so i can only wonder...
