What is your favourite cartoon or show that is off air?

ZangkZangk Member Posts: 60

I don't know why i started this but it would be interesting to see if there is anyone that knows some good old classics, or some that have only been on for not a long time.

Some cartoons that i had watched when i was younger would be this mario show, super sameria pizza cats, some poorly done hercules show, old spider man (ya i know, this show is still on air), there was an older teen age mutant ninja turtles, some sit comms that i do not remember.

Ninja Turtles, Spiderman, Mario were all shows I used to watch when I was a kid. I don't know how this has anything to do with MMORPG's, but whatever. image

first off im 16 and proud to love cartoons and anime.

then ill list these in order.

    1. SAMURAI JACK, AWESOME SHOW, great character, perfect clinteastwood type character.

    2. Sheep in the big citY, or more specifically the ranting sweede(misplelling) i admit that show was the weirdest show ever, but during the intermissions they had this cartoon of the RANTING SWEED, and it was so funny, but now that i look back on it it was so so wrong.

3.BATMAN,  the EMMY WINNING ORIGINAL CARTOON, that was on in the early 90's not the new crappy one where they replaced the bat signal, which was so screwed up.

well there ya have it ya happy you contributed to my future carpul tunnel syndrome?????

I enjoyed each and every episode of Firefly, I think there were 10 plus pilots and a couple that never aired. I know there was a million signature petition to bring it back. Alot of the actors have moved on though. I thought firefly was going to be the begining of a new direction for TV SCi-fi too. Silly me.

Anyone Remember those old 80's Nickelodeon shows like You cant do that on Television? The Tomorrow people? The third Eye?

What was that cartoon with the plane that flew from its secret base under-water? They had like these bladed throwing birds that returned when thrown.  They wore armored suits and could fly with their bird cloaks???

I saw Macross something or other on cable chanel 200 or something, I guess that still makes me a Robotech fan even though that was 20 years ago. They should add clan weapons though.

Both the old and early 90s Spiderman are on Toon Disney, KillerFlea, every night around 9pm CST if you have cable/satalite, then after that comes X-men and Gargoyles.

Some of the old shows that I like that aren't on anymore are:

    Batman Animated Series (original)
    Beastwars
    Reboot
Dragonball Z (not GT although GT rocks)
    Swat Cats
    Brimstone
    Mantis
    Hercules (not cartoon)

Street Fighter, G.I. Joe's, Gargoyles, Transformers, Sonic the Hedgehog. Some odd Supermario bro's show that was part cartoon and part real people.

Swat Cats was the greatest. Man that would make an awsome game today. Reboot was great but I don't know why the 2nd season (when everyone was grown up) got whiped of the air so quick from Toonami. Beastwars was awsome. Hercules and Zena were great.

BTW, anyone remember back then on fox...either after or before the Power Rangers, there was this show kinda like the power rangers this guy turns in to like a super bug and loves orange juice and saves the world using an AI street bike and look alike lamburguni?....i can't remember the name....

I probably watched cartoon up until last year. He also said shows that were no longer on air.::::39::

I remember sheep in the big city. I thought it was humorous too.

    2 Stupid Dogs

Dexter's Lab [although episodes are still played once or twice a week]

I just can't think right now. If I had a list I could think of a dozen more.

Hmm, the original Ninja Turtles for sure. And the original Batman cartoon, that was definatly the best batman cartoon ever (the early 90's one). Transformers was also great, and Samurai Pizza Cats! Oh and Beetlejuice.

I can't believe no one has mentioned the D&D cartoon from YEARS ago! At least if someone mentioned it I missed it, that was my favorite cartoon by far! Its the one cartoon that I wish would be broght back on Cartoon Network or something. They show reruns of all those old cartoons no one cares about but the one show I'd like to see again is still out in limbo somewhere. :(

Ren & Stimpy. Hilarious slapstick comedy combined with great animation.
  • ZangkZangk Member Posts: 60

ha, i remember transformers, that was a good oldie, i also remember beast wars if i am correct. It was a 3-d version of transformers. Then for sure would have to be reboot, i still like it today. One that i barly have any memory of, that was when i was really young would have to be "lambert the sheepish lion" and that is all in know from it. Spitters or something, pretty much people that travel through a dimention warp trying to get back home.

Of couse for them newer ones are spiderman,  family guy, Futureama, and so forth.

Also Batman Beyond. The best batman spinoff since the early 90s batman cartoon.

I remember that one, the opening scene is they go on a ride & end up in an another world. My favorite episode was when they had to confront their greatest fears.

Also Jason & the Wheleed Warriors that was vehicles against evil plants. M.A.S.K, ThunderCats, Ghostbusters (not the movie kind), Thundaar (or something), Transformers (1:st gen), He-Man all took way too much of my tv-time in the 80:s.

[Edit: Forgot GummyBears for some odd reason]
