Thats my favourite anyway, I suppose its each to his own
I play WoW but I recommend you play GW.
Anyone who relies on feedback from these types of posts should play GW.

Seeing as Guild Wars dose not have a mounthly fee I think that clearly...
Guild Wars is better
Why even compare them? I choose neither.

I'm not gracing this with a reply. Guild wars isn't out yet. It's still in Beta. It's impossible to rate them until it's released.
And SWG is better than either can ever hope to be, imo.
Fantasy MMO is soooo last decade.

actually i would consider gw a mmorpg. I know the arguements and why people say its not... but it really is a mmorpg...the same way PSO is, even though pso is horrid. And about towns being graphical lobbies, tell me one mmorpg where you dont meet your group in town, and head out on your adventure. Wow being the exception because its designed for solo. But I don't want to beat a dead horse.
I'd say get guild wars, wow is a good system, but it just gets boring, it has the worst pve game ever. Its based around quests to level, but really they aren't really quests as much as they are tasks.... kill 10 etc get me 10 etc....it just gets boring fast. If grinding was a option for a = leveling rate id definately do that... but ya... WoW just gets sooo boring post 40.
I'd have to go with Guild Wars, simply because there's no monthly fee to play.
GW becouse it has no monthly fees... or WoW that will be 10% or maybe even 20% better by the time GW comes out? WoW for me. Of course, GW can only get better also with the final version but I got to stick with WoW.
Why do you ask this question? Are you really going to base your choice on opinions here? My opinion is you should never do that since one game can suit someone perfectly while being not acceptable for you.
Ok, now I'll try to be supportive: in order to help you I need you to answer first why did you narrowed your selection to only this two titles? What do you expect from MMORPG (great story line, PvP, stunning graphics, lot's of mature/newbie players, great support, regular updates, low fees, lot's of friends, all of that, etc.)? Do you have friends playing either game already? Which title's hardware requirements fit your PC specs better? And probably more will come later... Can you see it now? Your question is un-answerable as it is.
The best way would be to give both games a try - and perhaps try also something else, like Asheron's Call 2 free 15-days trial.
WoW is the pinnacle of the established mmorpg style, it does nothing new but everything very well. Slick, polished and very engaging from the first hour.
Guild wars is something very different and new and I am very excited about its release. For me this is the far more interesting title. I cant wait to see there streaming technology in action when the game is live.

Voted for GW cos I like the grafix...
Haven't voted for either...there should be other possibilities like "they both suck" or they're both just as good"
Now, I've only played GW very shortly (during one of the beta weekends)...I wasn't really enthusiastic about it..;Sure, it's beautyful, but it seems a tad limited on character options...
As for WoW, I was always against it, but after seeing everybody I knew starting the game, I bought it too...At first, I was pleasantly surprised, but after about a month, I got bored with it...Nice graphics, but a bit cartoonish. Gameplay is too simple and rather boring. Character options are way to limited. And the game is way to easy. But ofc, that's just my point of view, so don't flame me for it.
So based, on the little experience I have with guild wars, I'd choose that one as the "best"
EDIT: note that IMHO, there might be no such thing as "the best". That's all subjective

Got bored with Wow after my second Lvl 30 character. Can't talk about Guild Wars, because I haven't played the beta, but given there's no monthly fee, i'll give it a try.
I think the worst pve game is Lineage 2.
Lineage 2 worst PVE? I didn't know there was any PVE content at all..............
What about its PVP or should I call it GvG (Grief vs Grief)

Again and again these post pop up about the same two subjects, GuildWars and WoW. Everyone is saying play GW is way better and then a group says no play WoW its way better; and I say both be quiet and talk about something else. This has to be the one million'th post on the subject and I know im not the only one who thinks this subject has been milked dry. Use your minds those are not the only two good mmorpgs, try and think of another two to compare.

Why are people comparing these two games. This is like comparing DAOC and PlanetSide
They're totally different style games.
