MMORPG.com's Joe Iulani recently attended PAX Prime and had the chance to sit in on the City of Heroes panel titled "Going Rogue...and Beyond". Utilizing a new way to report the panel's contents, Joe lets readers "see" the content of each of slides presented during the panel. Feast your eyes on Joe's City of Heroes PAX Panel.
Have you ever wanted to attend a City of Heroes panel at a game convention but could just never find the time? Well time, convention fee, potential airfare, and possible room rental. Hey, that's great! I wish I could play the game, but I, like several others, have been permanently banned after 6 years of play from all accounts for no reason, and no response for 10 days now.
"Seeing" the slides is nice, but really doesn't say much. Having a full transcript would be better, frankly, as it fills out just what each bullet point means.
(That said, been having a lot of fun in Praetoria.)
Put it down to goldsellers from WoW TBH, I was inactive for a while with CoX and Guildwars (and which the account has had nearly all NC games since the early CoX days), found out my account had been suspended due to 'illeagal usage', got the account back ok but less then 24 hours later it was perma-banned for 'credit card frawd', ever since everyone and his dog got their WoW accounts hacked (active or not), it's not been too hard for them to use the personal details from that account to have GMs from other games be fooled into thinking they are you.
The only real way around getting gold farmer slammed on all your accounts is to create a new 'you' from scratch each time you sign up to a mayor MMO, it's just a damn same like Blizzard, NCSoft 'link' your games to one account.
Bring on the WARRRRGGHH!
Population seems to be holding well.Only thing atm i wish would be added in next issue is to have toons names tied to your acount like CO (one of few things CO gets right) makeing geting the name you want easy.Logicaly no reson not to do this since pratorea deals with dopelgangers an other versions of prime earths version of heroes an villians.
That said their talking of reworking clasic costum peices to match up better with the new stuff. No other game has rewarded my loyalty like CoH has.Realy looking forward to what else they bring to the game before coh2 rears its head.
"Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing." Robert E. Howard, The Tower of the Elephant (1933)
Spellcheck on "rogue" please.
One bad thing about NCSoft's support system - it auto-closes tickets after three days as "resolved" - so you need to bug them every 2-3 days if you want it back. There is also a phone number you can call.
One note about the article - "zowies" are, specifically, the glowing mission objects in the regular zones - zone + glowie = zowie.
Yeah, seriously. I'd hate to think these were the actual source material and they couldn't spell their own product correctly!

lol, I hope the can spell (in english anyway).
They did add a tongue in cheek "Going Rouge" badge to Praetoria. Pretty funny stuff.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
"Post-mortem" is right! This game is dead to me.
Bump.
Praetoria is very fun, and I am very excited about this Incarnate/endgame content.
hey same thing happened to me about 4 months ago. I lost both city accounts, my gw account that had all 3 chapters bought, my Lineage 2 account and all over supposed credit card fraud when the only game that was active at the time was the free 2 play gw account. sure I had bought something out of the store with a prepaid debit card, but that was about 2-3 months previous to the ban...
I tried to get the account back of course but ncsoft is about 10X worse than blizzard when it comes to account recovery. I did buy all the games back but starting a level 1 again in all of them...........
There, There, cheer up now, now you can move on to play Champions Online or DC Universe Online which is basically pretty much the upgraded versions of City of Heroes, Unlik CoH worthless Expansion where the only useful thing was to be a villian and Hero as the same time >.>
