MMORPG.com's Angie Webb recently had the opportunity to attend PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington. In today's article, Angie talks about PAX Prime and her impressions of several games as well as some general thoughts about PAX Prime and about the convention season. Check it out and then jump into the conversation on our forums.

Convention season is almost over. I’ve been to a lot of conventions this year, but, PAX, or PAX Prime as it’s called now, is the one I look forward to the most. I enjoy it for many reasons, the biggest being I used to live in Seattle and that means I’m coming back to see the show as well as old friends. This article is simply about my PAX experience and cool things I saw.

One can only hope that the theme of the CCP was a hint that they are getting ready to release "some" information about World of Darkness Online.

I agree. They are doing some really mean teasing about the game. Which is cool, and not. :)

There are a few games I'm waiting for, and looking forward to. But CCP's take on WoD is really all I care about.

And you know, they seem to be amping it up a little bit . Such as wearing "WoD Dev" shirts, a (maybe not so accidental) slip during the alliance tournament, and now a vampire themed party.

    One can only hope.

"I also got to talk to some very interesting people from gamecrush.com -- an online website where you can pay a girl to play a video game with you. I encourage you to go check out this site when it’s released. They are still in beta now and thousands are participating."

Seriously, how much are these people paying you guys?

I love how we get articles on how women are "objectified" on here from time to time, but when virtual pimps want to ho out "gamer girls", it's all good.

A person that keeps writing such poor articles and compares E3 to PAX should not get paid to write a column. E3 is an abomination where the industry celebrates itself, locking out the people that give them a job. Gamescom and PAX are what proper conventions should be like.

But well, not like I expected much else, I have yet to see an article from her that isn't poorly written. Was my bad for believing in improvement.

Oh and agree with eyeswideopen, but it's also nothing new really.

As one of the roadcone wearing, face painted zombies, I'd like to note that that particular "fashion meme" had rather more to do with Popcap's Plants vs. Zombies makeover room on the sixth floor of the convention center.  Apparently the author couldn't be bothered to take ten minutes to check out what there was on an entire floor of the convention, or she would have probably known that.

The article wasnt that bad, I think when she was comparing E3 to PAX she was refering to atmosphere, not how the event was run. As far as not knowing about the cone heads, there were 6 floors or more of stuff going on? BAJEEBUS !! Thats alot of stuff going on right there. I dont know how big that place is but it seems fairly easy to miss a thing or two.

As far as her ability to write? I think she is doing fine as a new columnist. Ya cant always be super awsome right from jump. I cant say I like the gamecrush thing, I think it is a bit absurd. I agree a bit about the virt pimps and it gave me a chuckle.

But its just an oppinion, its like a butthole, everybody has one and others stink more than yours :)
