I could'nt agree more . Why these companys stick to the standard subscription fee on a game thats not that great is beyond me . It might be worth 5 euros a month . In fact I would pay that to play it . There seams to be very little development gone into it in those two years as well .
Well WoW charges 15 bucks for gameplay thats been outdated since 1999, sooo ...
Dunno what happened there it wiped out my responce as I posted it .
Warcraft has greater success and greater developmental support its not my sort of game but I think most of us would agree its in a different league to Warhammer . Interesting you did'nt use Age of Conan or Vanguard as an example .
Sooo.... not a great arguement out your part to justify a subscription fee of 15 bucks .
If you'd attack server stability, bugs, lack of devs, crappy CS, billing issues or maybe population balance or class balance I might see where you're coming from... those were all problems at some point... WAR has had many many issues... but gameplay? WAR plays awesome, and always has. You gotta be some kind of rival game's fanboy or something... I'd have a hard time believing you ever played the game.
Really can't help the stupid people who can't see past there own stupidity. The game is good and fun to play. Let the haters hate for no reason.
I wouldn't say that I hate it but I don't like what they turned one of my favorite worlds into.
EQ 1 & 2 are as close to the tabletops and the RPG game as WAR. The game might be ok but my problem with it is that they use part of the Warhammer world but not the good parts, and it doesn't feel anything like it should.
Gone is the horror theme. Gone is the mature part. What is left is some parts of the humor and something that looks pretty much like Altdorf (only part in the game that looks right).
Mythic should not have used or misused the IP in this way. If you never played anything Warhammer before I can understand you but if you would have you should see what they didn't get in the game.
I might even play this game if it was in another IP but now I just see how a real Warhammer MMO based on Warhammer fantasy RPG should have been instead. And don't call that stupidity unless you actually played the real Warhammer games because otherwise you can't see the whole picture.

I would agree here. I quite enjoyed the game and really like the pvp there. It has other issues that need sorted out though.
I recently subscribed for the first time to WAR. I intended it to be just a one off month to try the second and third tiers, but I might continue. This PvP gets pretty epic.
I can see how it's a pretty terrible game in many areas though.
Gameplay for pvp is now very, very good and well balanced.
You have skaven coming (playable by both sides as otherwise this would unbalance the game, they didnt have much choice in that) and alot of new stuff including an anti-zerg pvp zone in the rvr pack.
They have already mentioned a second rvr pack with a second race due out 6-8 months after the first one so they have plans for at least the next 10-12 months and I dont see WAR being cancelled anytime soon.
If you like your pvp then do try the game; but be prepared to not do as good at pvp as you think you are
This game suffers not from terrible gameplay, but rather, a terrible playerbase. I've never seen such a collection of awful PvPers in a PvP-centric game before. That's right, I'm talking to all you tards that hammer away relentlessly on a tank that's getting healed by 3 healers...instead of, oh I dunno...KILLING THE HEALERS!
While haters spew crap, this is true. But it was so funny... and frustrating... and hilarious... and infuriating... all at the same time.
Only game i will pay a sub for atm , the fast paced pvp/rvr along with with great graphics are perfect for this old gammer. All the crap talk makes me laugh, if its not your style of game and trolling/doom posting is whats that say for you ?

Okay. I like WH a lot, but I have to laugh because just last night, we were being decimated in a scenario and I said to the /sc group "after we reassemble, let's attack the healers first." and someone said "kay which ones are healers?" after a simple "follow me..." we ended up coming back from -150 behind (out of 500).

I've been playing Warhammer Online on and off since Nov last year as a trial account, and I've really enjoyed it. I love the way I can log in and jump right into action in a scenario or some great action in rvr. The only thing preventing me from subscribing is a problem with the patcher.
Every time a new patch is released, my client downloads the whole 4.5 gb patch, rather than just the new content. I've posted in the forum, tried various fixes and had numerous emails back and forth between customer services and me, but so far I haven't managed to resolve this problem permanently. Other posters on the forum, both those using free trial version and subscribed account version are having the same problem, so it's something which needs to be fixed.
Other than the strange patching problem, I've loved playing Warhammer and it has really converted me to the dynamic action of rvr which you can join at any time. Haven't had any problems with the community, either, no worse than most mmo's out there in my experience.
