Guild Wars...meh? Part II

I played GW for the first time last month, and my impression was - well I wasn't impressed. I created a Monk, Mesmer and Warrior. I gave the monk the most playing time.
I played again this past weekend. I made an Elementalist, which I liked more than my monk. I also chose a second profession - necromancer. Unlike before, this time I left the first city and went to the academy. I had enough money to create a guild and choose a cape. I chose some NPCs to fight in an instance with me. Although I didn't bother accumulating enough of anything to make something - I have an idea of what crafting will be like. I was going to join a group, but I just didn't feel like staying logged on.
Once again, GW just seems blah to me. I don't know why. At this point, I don't want to pay more money to keep trying to find what about GW would be interesting to me.

no reason for you to post that you DIDNT enjoy GW because, well frankly it is just stupid that you would spend time posting that you DIDNT like the game on a site dedicated to people who DO like the game...

I didn't post "on a site dedicated to people who DO like the game". I posted here, on a forum for general discussion about Guild Wars.
so you couldn't be bothered to make any money or craft any items, and couldnt be bothered to team up with real people and instead did everything with NPC's...and you wonder why you weren't inspired...
solo questing is boring, half the fun is watching fellow party members make fools of themselves ("no, dont pull all of them, damn, 8 drakes on us you fool!"), having to rely on real people, debating whether you share stuff or hoard it all.
Not to mention that by the sounds of it you ignored the PvP side, fair enough if it doesn't interest you, but its one of the areas that the devs have concentrated on. I'm not saying 'you are wrong', just that coming on here and saying "i didnt really try anything, and felt that it was boring' is only going to awaken the trolls and get you flamed. It's not exactly discussion either, as all the stuff we might suggest you do is moot now as there isnt another beta before release.
So in conclusion, no, this thread will not really help anyone, and will instead probably just serve to repeat the topics of discussion that have been debated to death (is GW a MMO, is it too focused on questing and PvP, does it have longevity etc.)

PvE in general is pretty lame, if you think long and hard about it. You are spending your time beating a severely gimped AI that would lose to a well trained monkey. Best not to think too long and hard why you are wasting time playing games in general actually...
I for one liked guild wars, I only got to play it this last beta weekend but its bought and paid for and i cant wait for it to be released. oh and does n e body know do you get to keep your character from the beta version or just the name?
The gist of my post was, in my limited experience, Guild Wars is boring.
I paid to participate in beta, I cannot convince myself to spend money on the actual game - in order to get to "half the fun". This is my decision. I don't need anyone to change my mind.
Perhaps this will help someone else, but since when has that been a requirement? I shared my experiences and opinions just like others have.
Please don't try to corral me into posting what you feel should be posted. Only the moderators can enforce that.

I dont know, but i like this game very much. I played 3 betas and going to get the actual game when it out.
I had so much fun, and will have more, when it released.
Atlist there nothing out there as good as GW to get now.

that's exactly my issue with your post (and I said as much in the first paragraph of my reply) - why do you feel the need to announce it to the world? Who cares? Posts saying 'i find this game rubbish' are just as bad as those that say 'this game is uber' IMO. I might be wrong, but this forum isnt called 'general opinions', and you didn't write your post in a way that would let the topic be left as an opinion.
I'm not telling anyone what they should or shouldn't post, i'm giving my 'opinion' on these kind of threads based on my 'experiences'. You can defend the original premise as much as you want, but if GW really is that boring to you, why bother? just go back to whatever MMO you were playing before in the knowledge that GW isn't the game for you and it only cost you a small fee to try it out.
