Pics of me soloing Gnoll Chieftain at level 14.

slim26slim26 Member UncommonPosts: 645

Took his big ass on alone on normal at level 14 and then went back to him on mission up (hard) at level 15 and beat him again like Sparta. Mission hard was somewhat scary because of not knowing his HP levels  but it did seem like I beat him faster on hard than normal. This boss is a beast (well of course he is) I mean by being a pain in the ass, very heart pounding, sweaty palm type of shit but... he got dropped so that makes me a bigger beast!

How to solo him: You must use a lot I mean a lot of ( In and out ) tactics because his long reach of insanity, it is best that you work on getting your dash buff passive so you can dodge quicker (that passive is from a quest) make sure you come with potions of healing ( no shit) and bring some spears and you are set!

Impressive, though he is simple to solo once you learn how his attacks work. I managed to do it when my friend DCed

Though, I just love seeing a pic of me sparta-kicking the Cheftain.

This is how far he traveled.

I soloed him at 13 on hard + season of Macha. Once you learn his patterns he's laughably easy. Now that I'm 18, and I have heavy armor skill at B the guy is a joke. I can take such massive hits, and without my gear breaking, that he's just a boring joke now.

However, when I encountered him for the first time that feeling of "oh....crap" rushed over me. The Gnoll Chieftan is by FAR the most epic boss I've faught in a long long long LONG time. Up there with Nagafen the Dragon in EQ's pre-Luclin days of awesome.

Awesome boss, truly. It shocked the crap out of me when I got hit for the first time when he did his whirlwind. I thought it would just hurt alittle like the other bosses. I burst out laughing especially when you have Season of Macha and on Hard!(I don't like playing on NORMAL!!!)

    BOOYAKA!

Even more hilarious on team play, watching your team mates get knocked 20 feet or even just go (poof to no existent) is priceless!

In this game, even your own team mate would set you up for kicks like when he ran under the spike trap and I follow and then notice him sprint back (boom I was dead) funny shit, can not trust most team players.

Best boss to use for people to actually get use to using tactics instead of zerging. You need to set up people for chaining, at least one person to focus on knocking off his helm,(If you have new people that need it.) and everyone to get use to dodging and sprinting.

    BOOYAKA!

I hope the rest of the game is an indication of this fight. I was very impressed with it. The hook tactics are very awesome, too.

Pretty sure that spike trap has killed me waaaaaay more than the chief ever did.

    With friends like these...

My favorite team-killer traps are the bridges in hollow, Except for the time when I was walking across the bridge, and right above there was another bridge like this + and a teammate cut the bridge above, while I was in the middle/bottom running innocently across.

Ah, watching my friends do this boss for the first time brought tears to my eye...

They had 3 level 10s and no hooks/support items to take it down with, the tanker got 1 hit because his swing went through his shield. Bricks were shat and i just sat in the corner and laughed.

But seriously, I hope the game brings on larger and more merciless bosses like this guy. If so, we could be in for some epic times...

Gratz!!! That's one thing I love out this game! Unlike most other MMO's, you can really use your twitch skills.

    Nice pictures

I was really impressed the first time I came up against this boss. The first time some one hook chained him I was like "Did that just happen?" lol. Its a nice quick fix action packed game and I just hope when the cash shop part is enabled it doesn't ruin the game.
