before paying 5 bucks post your hardware in your laptop then it can be said if it will run. however i would not ever recommend to play this game on a Laptop at least not the current ones on the market. i think even the high-end-laptops can't really start the game in full specs.
in case if you are interested if it runs on lower specs of even if it starts at all you should post your hardware here. not all but RAM Graphics card etc all that is important to gaming.

well a laptop with mobility 5870 will run this game no problem with i7 processor, im not affraid of that. I just wanna see if I can tolerate the low setting on my laptop with a 8800m gts
false statement is false. laptop hardware can not be compared to Desktop-pc hardware even if it has the same name.
i tried the beta on my old Dell xps blabla (dunno the name anymore) with same graphics as you did. lowest setting and still had a nice little puzzle of single frames. maybe your core will do something about that but that's not gonna change much. it will start and run but as far as "playing" goes: no! sry to disapoint.
a buddy key doesn't necessarily fall into those categories... unless it's considered an account?

I dont know what you are talking about, Ive been playing on laptops for years, dont know if your havnt been optimized... just not remembering your own laptop model sounds weird to me.
Ive been playing WoW and AoC on this laptop with a 8800m gts and it was fine... more then fine for WoW lotk and I just can imagine how a 5870 would perform with i7. a 5870 equal to a 5770 for desktop...
a 5770 sounds ok for FF xiv to me.
But anyway thats not my point to try to argue, I just wanna see if my laptop can do ok before dishing out 1500$. Im a paramedic / FF, im rarely at home so I have no choice if I wanna kill time.
1500$ should get you a good laptop that will run this game NP but i am not sure about higher specs. but i can guess you can play fluently and for a long time (i.e. 3+hours) without laptop getting too hot.
I'm giving my pass to an old friend but I can assure you that people are managing to play with 5770 on high settings with high resolutions. I was playing beta with 5850 at 1920x1200 without any problems.
Laptops usually have lower resolutions, you shouldn't have any problems at all.

A Key is not an account. They are two seperate things.
It does fall under Virtual Trading. Offering to purchase keys is against the rules.
