Saga of Ryzom English server is rocking!!!
The merge is complete, and the population is awesome. Not only the overall population, but the timeframes of high pop is so spread out. I think we have convinced the GMT folks to stay up past their bed time!!!
Anyways, If you stopped playing due to a lack of people or events, come back! There are too many events going on now, you cannot decide what to do.
If you are looking for something new, give Ryzom a try. If you start the trial today and cram, you can be off newbie island by the weekend. This will be the first weekend with the merged population, expect to see a whole lot of people on from 2PM GMT through 7AM GMT Saturday!!!
P.S. I hope to tire out the Euro folks before the Knife Fight on Sunday so I can WIN!!!

This game is a game that really should get second chance!
Saga of Ryzom is very good game but have always suffered fropm awful marketing...well...cant say awful marketing because that would mean there had been any..
there was alot of marketting Especially on mmorpg.com.
Word of mouth advertising is best and SoR has a very hard time keeping people. And those that left disgruntled told their friends they didn't like it etc etc.
And thats how it worked out.
Supposedl over 180k people signed up for beta for it. And yet now they have arond 4k subscirbers.

I really can't wait till people realize what ass WoW is, then all the fanboys who troll other game sections can eat crow.
So why bother posting this in The Pub? I understand you MAY want to get the word out to others, but if they wanted to actually play......they would go to the forum for Ryzom...no?

I did the SoR trial and liked the game but was considering quitting due to the fact that it was basically a ghost town. I heard about the server merger right before my trial ran out, so I thought I would stay and give it a shot since I was enjoying the skill system so much. I am SO glad I stayed. All kinds of folks around now, easy to team and still easy to solo or to duo with my lady. See you in Atys.

Maybe I'll give this game a second chance. Gameplay was cool, but towns were big and overpopulated with NPC's. It's really sad when its a challenge to find your way out of a town with no real people.
I loved getting killed by the gangs of cabbage patch dolls though!

Along with more people online some problems have also appeared, some harvesting spots are getting over crowded and the kami tolerance is verry low.
I live in Florida(That's in the USA......) I played SoR for about 3 months and got up to pretty high level and loved the game. Just got bored of doing the same thing over and over again so I took a break. It saddens me that they got rid of the NA server. I had a ping at about 250-450 average on that server. I am scared to know what I will get on the EURO server. Is there anyone from Florida on these forums that play? If so what is your ping... lol. SoR rocks though I love it. I think the main problem with this game is lack of marketing and publicity as we all know. Everyone I talk to has never even heard of SoR and they don't seem to even care that I am telling them about it. F***ing WoW and all it's glory I hate that game. lol... go ahead if you have something to say... I don't care.
Well, I'm up in Canada and I haven't noticed the slightest hint of lag (on DSL). What's more, the amount of lag complaints on the forums after the merge have been approximately nil. In other words, there hasn't been any signifigant increase in lag, to the best of my knowledge.

I'll even do mandas in the void
Saga of Ryzom is a great game and has a lot of potential , if they could spread the word more of free Trial I think a lot of people would become like me , I've been playing for 4 days and got on WoW none of those days , this game is long-term like EQ , HARD WORK to get stuff , WoW is some hard-work but guild already beat Majordomo in less than what 6 months .
Hopefully Saga goes a long time and it will be fun with Outposts etc etc etc. Glad to see everyone is getting a taste of the brilliant system.
