Group lag

Okay i'm having an issue and i'm wondering how many people are having this problem as well.

Whenever i'm alone, I have a perfectly stable connection.  Going through the various dungeons, i can get off "combos" just fine and everything looks really cool. I even did the Friends? quest which has about 20 mobs on the screen at the same time and everything is fine.

No graphic lag, no connections lag.

Then i get into a group with others and everything goes south. As long as i'm the leader i'm fine but when i join a group when i'm not he leader i rubber band like crazy and my character is behind the action and it appears my character is waiting mid animation a lot.   I'm doing an awful lot of guessing when to attack and when to block.

Anyone know whats causing this or if i need to open a port or something or if this is Nexon not optimizing their server?

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

Yeah, it seems to be sporadic. A week ago, I had a good connection, but ever since then I couldn't get into any groups without severe connection issues. They seem to keep fixing and breaking it.

The dungeon instances are hosted on the leader's computer. This is why they tried to limit the beta only to the U.S. and Canada.  If your leader is on the other side of the world or has a lousy upload connection, or is running a peer to peer sharing program or... dozens of other factors, you'll have lag. If you're the leader you have none.

I usually host on this game having a 20 mb down / 2 mb up connection.  Was good for the first few days, then I started seeing quite a few players start connecting to me with one bar connections.  A lot of those folks were players outside of the service area connecting through proxies.

This game uses peer-to-peer connections.  Best thing to do is host your own games and include your general area in your boat title (I always add US - Midwest to my boat titles) and then I will generally kick players with 1 or 2 bar connections.  Oh, and having a BR tag will always get you a kick if you join my game.  I have seen so many games infested with BR cheaters.
