Hi people. Ok so I know I am gonna get capped on but I used to really like the sims online. Lately it is utter chit. I dont like killing monsters. I wouldnt mind killing monsters if I had a way to build houses and make stuff. Any of you know of another game that has houses and might fit me?

Well, check all the games that have a message boards here and erase them from the list of the existing MMORPGs and you have a pretty good start on your search.

If you want to build stuff:
-Everquest 2
-Asherons Call 2
-Star Wars Galaxies

But you have to kill monsters.....................

If you are looking for something similar to The Sims, then it might be worth to have a look at "Second Life"

In Asheron's Call 2 you can make stuff, but unfortunately there is no housing yet. Yet! As it is mentioned in the Turbine's plans for autumn patches.

You can try AC2 for free for 15 days by simply downloading the client (~1GB) and registering with ccard number, that can be removed afterwards from your account if you like.

How old are you? I think Second Life is only for adults is it not? EDIT: i see from your profile that you're 25 so scrap that question! I don't know alot about this game but I think in order to progress very far you need to put a fair bit of real life cash into it.

Definately take a look at A Tale In the Desert.

Thanks I will look into all those except second life it made me dizzy I mean nautious getting around the world. I tried ultima online it did just the opposite it was like blah nothing. Mabye I didnt give uo enough of a chance. I think I didnt like it because it wasnt full screen. I am 25 but I didnt start playing games til I was 23 so I dont know what is good and what sucks. Thanks for your help people.

For what it's worth, I'd suggest A Tale in the Desert 2 (the Beta was quite good, the complete product is bound to be better) or Ultima Online (the best).
You might also want to look into Dark and Light, but it's not coming out until November.

The new Star Wars Galaxies expansion Rage of the Wookies is looking good, too, even though you can't build on Kashyyyk.

Well I hated sims..

As much as I hate to suggest this SWG might be more what you want.

You can build houses a and make many types of funiture for them. You can also be a muscian and stand around sims online style and just chat all day.

Furthermore I saw on SWG they had a fasion shows with player made clothes, house parties and you can be a hair dresser... All sorts of stuff I consider totally fricking ... well not masculine OK.

FFXI has rooms, no outside, but you can put lots of stuff in it

Same for EQ2, no outsides, but you have rooms and tons of furniture to put in it

Maybe we can petition for Gods and Heroes to have temples?
