How many people are past level 20?

leojreimrocleojreimroc Member UncommonPosts: 371

I was just wondering if all these bad reviews are more about the low level experience and first impressions.  Are there any mid level characters already?  Enough so to get a decent opinion on the game later on?

I haven't played the game yet, and I'm still debating wether to get it or not.  But all the bad reviews so far are not very encouraging....

Also, if you do enjoy the game, why?

Only around 15, than again the level is an odd thing because of  thy physical Level and your class level.

As far  the evil thing that I not udnerstand why Square did it, is that you have actually more to do when you grow in level. At least this is my impression.

I wouldn't go by the bad comments people make about the game...  They aren't a very reliable source.

Of course, all the good things people say come from a reliable source.

I'm level 17. I also have ranked up Carpentry, Mining, Botanist, Armorer, Blacksmith, and Goldsmith, all of which are time consuming, but I find it fun finally getting to the rank to create armor, to sell for mass profits to build your own career. :) Cheers!

I'm not sure if its just the bad english, sarcasm, or some crazy desire of a game to have a decreasing amount of content as you level.

I suppose it swings both ways.

Im in a linkshell of approx 40 players and I would say we have about 5 that have one class above 20, although they are mainly 21 or 22.

Im only 12 on my highest class lol

My character is physical level 20, but no higher than rank 12 of any one class.  Things really slow down at about rank 10, grinding is rather painstaking work.  Casual players are better off sticking to guildleves and then logging for the night.

    Yeah, Im physical 19

My physical level is 14, but  as far as my rank goes. That is a little bit different of a story.

    Marauder Rank 12

    Gladiator Rank 10

    Blacksmith Rank 9

    Pugilist Rank  11

    Conjurer Rank 8

Granted I havent been able to play too much this week because I work odd hours. But I plan on playing a lot more this weekend. I am going to safely assume that it is going to take a little while to hit level cap. I would say it is safe to assume that if you were able to put copius amount of hours in this game you should be able to hit cap at 6 months... But who wants to do that?

Also, it sounds like Square Enix has the next several phases already planned. Here is a link to the article. Also, it looks like they are also addressing issues.

This isnt going to be an easy game for sure. My advice, I would wait till the March release on PS 3. There will be more content then and some of the issues that players are currently experiencing, should be worked out.

No sarcasmus at all here. I honestly wonder a bit about the strategy. I mean it is great that you get more and more options in the game that make it more enjoyable and it is a good thing.

It feels just a bit like the game hits a lot of people with a brickwall at the start that feels like natural selecation and than is actually pretty nice and complex to people. For example you first can do the Level 1 leves at start and are limited to one twon. Around 10 you are able to do level 1 and 10 leves and be most likely able to travel to the other towns to do the leves there as well.

Additional to that you most liekly to start Grouping around level 10 which makes the game even better. Not to mention that you later make tasks for the guilds as well.

I like the game I just wonder about the concept idea in that case.

It sounds like every other MMO that's ever been made honestly...

As said it is just my impression. Than again as in an other topic discussed it is actually nice that they do not start out handholding. It is just rare in recently games.

My highest rank is only 11, and it'll probrably be that way for a while since I want to raise  three or more other DoH clasess for the useful tradeskill abilities. Then I'll focus more on Archer and Carpentry.

My physical is 18 i think my next highest is 11 which would be lancer then im spread out over a few other crafting levels from 7-10.

    blacksmith,woodworking,mining,goldsmith,armorsmith.

I am really enjoying the different way they have handled this game... now the first couple of days i was cussing it left and right as i was learning how to play. The wiki is your best friend in this game cause a tutorial is very much needed lol. There are helpful hints and such but you really need to know what to look for to even realise they are there.

But our little group of 5 is now doing good.

    played M59,UO,lineage,EQ,Daoc,Entropia,SWG,Horizons,Lineage2.EQ2,Vangaurd,Irth online, DarkFall,Star Trek
and many others that did not make the cut or i just plain forgetting about.
