The Tale of Odin's Hammer followers
Augment O hands Orbit a strange key. 'What is this for?' This will unlock the door in the back of our Guild Hall. 'Why are you handing it to me?' I want you to translate the old tomes we have in there and write a new version of the old text so members can have a better understanding of Odin and us his followers. 'I will do my best.'
We will keep you updated at http://odins.guildportal.com

Need Nice Web page??
The next day Orbit inserts the key that Augment O gave her and twists the handle, the door opens slowly with a creaking sound. Unable to see inside Orbit lights a candle with her trusted flint box and is able to see somewhat of a small room with a wooden table & chairs in the middle with several stacks of books all around on the ruff sawed wooden floor. Shelving is seen on the far wall maybe some left over floor boards but will need more supporting before it can withstand the weight of more books. First order of business to clean up the place and to try to organize it a bit.
After spending most of the day cleaning and organizing, Orbit finds a very interesting heavy book with very old leather bindings. I think I start here with this book and try to understand the writings within before Og the Mighty comes home with supper. I hope it isnt fish again or as he calls it Mesmer Fish that meal gets old, very quick. Orbit opens the book and starts reading.

Odin's Hammer
Norse Mythology.
The Norse Mythology is rather fascinating. The ones acquainted with the world of Tolkien can to some extent recognize this themselves when dealing with this mythology. According to the old tales a man with the name of Gylfe, king of Svithiod, once entered the home of the gods and there he was told how the world begun. He met with three beings, which had the names: Hög (High), Tredje (Third) and jämnhög (Even Height or something like that.)

I wonder if this is the same Gylfe that Augment O mentioned as one of his forefathers? Anyway, Im here to read about Odin, not some other person. Orbit pages through until she see something about Oden in the text. I wonder if Oden is old tongue for Odin?
Odin's Hammer
Oden, which destiny had chosen to become the one who would fulfill the creation, killed the giant Ymer (with help from his two brothers) and used his body as a ground for the new world. His blood became the sea (Where all the Rimtusarnas but one drowned). His skull became the sky. The bones in his skeleton became mountains, his brain the clouds and his tissues was grinded in the great mill 'Grottekvarnen', around whose main axis the universe turned, to become the dirt. The giantesses Fenja and Menja drove the mill. Ymers Eyebrows became a wall against the inhabitable surroundings. This new world was called Midg
Odin's Hammer
I remember this tale from the campfire stories the elders would tell. I would sit and listen to them over and over again when I was a young girl. Those were the good old days of peace after the Great Guild Wars and before the Charr changed everything. Orbit hears doors swinging open and close clanking of pots and dishes from the other room. Wow its that late already; I guess I better help prepare the meal. Dont want Og the Mighty anywhere around the kitchen, last time he tried to cook a cow. Everyone thought it was dead but it was only stun, what a major mess that was to clean up after the cow woke up and got loose.
Odin's Hammer
The next day Orbit gets an early start at reading more from the heavy old book.
Maybe I can finish reading this today because tomorrow its my turn to travel to Lions Arch for re-supplying the Guild. The list of supplies is getting longer as more people knock at the front door wishing to join us in adventuring or maybe its just the cool looking scarlet red tapestry with Odins Hammer embroidered on it that draws them near. Who knows, doesnt matter as long as we all have fun adventuring together. Here I go again day dreaming about adventuring, I need to get started.
Orbit thumbs through the book until she reaches where she left off yesterday.
