They did make a big mistake in that the game does not give lots of direction; however I can tell you I am liking it more and more. I am not that far in, but I can tell you the graphics are unreal, and the combat system is very different, deep, and fun imo. I will try to update this more when I get a little deeper into the game.

Soo uhmm.. not to flame you or anything.. but how can you say it gets way better when you're not deep into the game yet?
By taking what he started playing at and comparing it to where he is now? makes sense to me.
Lol and when exactly when did he start playing? The launch? i can't tell, she/he hasn't said shit about that lmfao.
grinding the same stuff over and over again is really fun yeah, so sad this is another of those asian grind fest games :<
If you want anyone to take your statement even remotely serious, you better elaborate quite a bit more.....
Not to be negative, but to me gfx are the last reason to play an mmo
Surely there must be something wrong, it does not get into your thick skulls that some people actually enjoy the game. All you can do is bash and be negative. How dare you!
Targeting is a bit of a hassle in that I'm a really big guy and the mob is small and hiding in front of me. Tab doesn't target the nearest monster the work outwards. Panning and clicking takes time.
The game is designed to be used by a gamepad not a keyboard and mouse. Its even reccommended on the box to use a gamepad.
Responses from the merchant NPCs and even the quest NPCs take from 5 to 20 seconds and since they have no title or indicators or who is who, you have to check each and every one of them.
Once you get used to that, it gets way better!
BTW, graphics are beautiful! There's lots to do, I just don't know what there is, yet. I'd ask people but public broadcasting seems to not be there. Personal tells didn't work for a day but they seemed to have fixed that; there was no whining about that because most people don't know how to chat. I don't know of any gold sellers or bots in this game; I don't think there will be anyone advertising them. Its definately a new and exciting world.
I'm definately on the fence but its good to know it gets way better!
There are little icons and symbols on the map that give you an indication what type of merchant is located where in a city that help out in tracking them down.
The ACTUAL size of MMORPG worlds: a comparison list between MMO's
The ease with which predictions are made on these forums:
Fratman: "I'm saying Spring 2012 at the earliest [for TOR release]. Anyone still clinging to 2011 is deluding themself at this point."
Some people like every game. When they come on a forum and tell everyone how wonderful it is those who have played and disagreed have the right to say what their opinion is. This is not necessarily bashing. Just the free exchange of opinions.
Please note not only do some people dislike every game, it has become apparent to me that some people dislike all games. They seem to be looking for the "perfect" game and nitpick all games which fail to live up to that standard. Even so, they have a right to voice their disapproval.
Myself, I have not played this particular game, mostly because the whole series does not interest me, I played one of the single players once. I have no opinion on this game though since I have not played it. Just saying that those who think it is bad have a voice too.
Currently bored with MMO's.
I felt the same way, and still do about certain aspects, but the "OH SHINEY!" has worn off and all the annoyances have taken over the fun. They let too much get in the way of the game i.e. input lag for everything, UI, labyrinth of menus to do ANYTHING etc. The core game is okay, but the way the player interacts with the game world is absolutely horrible. It's hard for me to grasp how they missed that -- how can we have fun if attempting to play the game is a PITA. Strip away all the redundant crap, and the game might just be fun, but it's hard to see at the moment.
