Renewed. 2 hours later - hacked.
As the title describes, I renewed my Aion sub (having not played since release) after hearing the generally pleased tone of people on various forums.
However after about 2 hours I was kicked off the game after receiving a message saying someone else had logged on, at which point I found I was locked out from my NCSoft master account and game account. I checked my email and sure enough, there had been a password and secret answer change.
So I ran Panda scan, Avast, Adaware, Malwarebytes. None of them came up with a thing, plus this is a pretty new PC (not the one I originally played Aion on). How is it that I got hacked by some apparently clairvoyant individuals that knew I had just reinstated my account? The immediately obvious answer is that the website has a flaw, although if someone else has any ideas then I'd be interested.
Either way...I used my credit card to renew my account. Are my details safe? I emailed NCSoft all of this but obviously I'd like an answer from anyone who has been in a similar situation or knows of the situation, since my money is potentially on the line. Should I have changed passwords the moment I resubbed? What the hell's going on?

as long as you didnt press the button to save your CC info then there shouldnt be any danger with that.. and from what i understand if its ticked to save your cc info its not saved on NCsofts servers but on your PC..
And being hacked 2 hours later.. that is just seriously worst luck ever.. hopefully you will get your stuff back soon. friend of mine was hacked in similiar fashion and his account was restored to its original state pretty fast. and hes PC was also clean from viruses/trojans/keyloggers, so we have no idea what happened or how the info was gotten.. and NCsoft will freeze your account as soon as someone reads the message.

I don't even know anyone that plays, nor did I mention to anyone I was renewing.
On the upside, support was quick and helpful. I have my account back, mysteriously netting me an extra 100,000 kinah in the process.
I did have some CC info saved to the account but thankfully it's massively outdated (from Aion launch).
