seigardseigard Member UncommonPosts: 286

Ok now i left warhammer , aion and ll pvp base stuff lately and cant find anything i can have fun with. I almost played all the games on mmorpg.com list instead of the ones came up between 1996-2000. So what im looking for is this

-Rewarding pvp , i mean you get some stuff by killing enemies such as points new gear or ranks

-Not low population so i can do pvp

-No lazy developers , the ones we see on WAR( new updates the whole time FTW!)

-Playable at EU

-Shouldnt be failed after the new ubar games coming up in 2010-2011 such as GW2 or other stuff

This is all i want guys , doesnt matter if f2p or p2p

thx in advance

Darkfall is the funnest PVP that I have been able to find (actually I think the PVE is a lot funner to because of the combat and mob AI). I could see some of its player-base playing GW2 as a side game but there is nothing else out there that provides as much of an adrenaline rush and FFA PVP with full-loot so there is no game coming out soon that can replace what you get from Darkfall. Updates and expansions come slow, but with how it is now, there is enough stuff to do to keep a person busy for years. It is a sandbox game so I never run out of things to do. The population should increase with next weeks PVE expansion then it might die down a little until DF2010 expansion . .. then expecting some other population booms (like putting the game on steam and starting to advertise). It is not an instant gratification kind of game though which does help get your heart pumping when excitement does happen and it is very unpredictable. Besides EVE, there is no other game worth playing where you can kill someone and take all of their stuff! Everything but a characters house can be taken by other player (but the taxes you pay for your house may go to another player). It has a 14-day trial.

NEWS FLASH! "A bank was robbed the other day and a man opened fire on the customers being held hostage. One customer zig-zag sprinted until he found cover. When questioned later he explained that he was a hardcore gamer and knew just what to do!" Download my music for free! I release several albums per month as part of project "Thee Untitled" . .. some video game music remixes and cover songs done with instruments in there as well! http://theeuntitled.bandcamp.com/ Check out my roleplaying blog, collection of fictional short stories, and fantasy series... updated on a blog for now until I am finished! https://childrenfromtheheavensbelow.blogspot.com/ Watch me game on occasion or make music... https://www.twitch.tv/spoontheeuntitled and subscribe! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUvqULn678VrF3OasgnbsyA

That's more because of the person playing than the game itself.

But each to his own. :P

Word. Its a sandbox game so you do what you want. Camping the same mob over and over is actually really stupid and will hold your character progression back a bit. You want a variation of skinning mats and you want to challenge yourself by facing mobs that you have to hit a lot more to kill as much as you cant (don't spend over an hour or two doing the same thing . .. thats boring and I would never do that).

So what other games have you though about so far and why?

I've only had about 10-15 hours a week to game for the last few months . .. I've play Darkfall as my main game and lately while harvesting or crafting AFK I'll play Global Agenda, quake-live, or Guildwars (or maybe resub to another one or try out a new one) on a 2nd monitor. hehe

Well i thought about guildwars , allods , DDO or resubbing to aion or warhammer.

Well i would buy GW right away if i knew that there is still population and stil pvp keeps going and after gw2 i dont even think any other games will be played such as that.

GW should still be one of the most popular MMOs.

I was thinking about giving WoW another try for the millionth time, but I think I'm just gonna wait for Cataclysm because I'd make a Worgen when that releases anyhow. I still don't know though, the classes in WoW seem somewhat dull to me.

Anyway, I didn't take a look at this entire thread but Global Agenda, maybe Aika (not sure if it rewards you for doing pvp, but apparently there's 1,000 vs 1,000 pvp). There is also Guild Wars as mentioned above.

Please come check out my stream. All the love is appreciated!

wow has nothing to do with what i want mate. Also darkfall is a game for more hardcore or sandbox players and sandbox is way more mature then wow i think because in wow u only do what others do and get the same gear or stuff others get. Also the players are so immature in my opinion

GW is still very alive and kicking and hopefully will remain that way even after GW2 for awhile . .. there is a LOT of people who play that game. DDO is still kicking too, I've been doing a dungeon like once a month and have fun. Unless you are a total pro, the PVP titles in GW take quite the grind to get . .. but its fun though. Whats annoying is having to depend on your team and every build is VERY rock, paper, scissors which I guess luck can be a good thing at times, it can also piss you off at other times. There are always builds that counter other builds. Anti-melee seems to be the best in RA though.
