What is the funniest game you ever played?

swing848swing848 Member UncommonPosts: 292

I mean, the game that made you laugh a great deal.  I have played lots of games that were fun and made me laugh, however, which one made you laugh repeatedly, no matter the content or graphics?

This one is up there for me.  I know the game is relatively stupid, but, really, how many games let you shoot chickens, run over people and drag them along with your pick-up truck in the town square - 'er town circle, launch dynamite strapped to an arrow, get drunk, and have your personal can of whoop ass ready for bad guys?

The price is right at $5.99.  Just remember, you probably no longer have a 17 inch CRT screen that actually measured 16 inches.

Hmm... the only things that come to mind right now are the Sam & Max series and Grim Fandango.

Same as Bmoor, the first thing that comes to mind is the Sam&Max series, got alot of those games relatively cheap on steam with last christmas sale :)

    Try this: canabalt.com

It's not really the funniest game but it made me laugh so hard. It's fun to play and you can challenge your friends.

If we are talking about MMORPG games, then Maple Story would be the funniest game I've ever played. I just couldn't take the game seriously enough to put effort into it. It's 2D! The whole gameplay and concept was just funny to me.

If you mean just any game, and just for the laugh, this game always works for me:

You play Santa Claus on a roof, collecting drinks. It become more and more difficult to maneuver him the more drunk he gets. Not he most mature or sophisticated humor maybe lol. Works for me still.

Monkey Island 2 or 3.  Not sure which one I liked the best.  Maybe three for the awesome voice acting.

as one other poster mentioned, i was fond of Giants: Citizen Kabuto as well.  not sure how many of you gamers will remember this game, but long ago there was a 2D side-scrolling adventure game called Zak McKraken (not sure on the spelling) but that game was a laugh riot. it was pretty well made to boot.

It's a tie between the Original Worms (on the Amiga) and the Monkey Island games... ah those were the days

  • majimaji Member UncommonPosts: 2,091

Monkey Island 1, Monkey Island 3, and...  uhm... Evil Genius

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

Worms. The new one that just released is pretty damn funny. Umm Toejam and Earl (I think that was its name anyway). Leisure suit larry was always good for a laugh to. As for MMO's I cant really think of any that I laughed at unless it was for the wrong reasons.

There was an asian game that my friend gave me. He is big into the Asian games. Nope, can't name it...it was in Chinese or something.

The game was to seduce your sister, mother and then grandmother. At the end, you did a fourway.

Sadly, I wish I was making this up. He found it in a store I think when he was vacationing in China and Japan.

But that was definitely really hilarious.

I personally liked the Space Quest and Liesure Suit Larry series, both by Sierra Online Inc. Most of the 9 or 10 games in those two series had me laughing from begining to end. Very funny games.

To think I was only 4 back when the first monkey island got released. Some thing do not change though. Still suck as much in adventure games as I did back when I was 4 :P

Anyhow do have to add Grim Fandango to the list as well.

Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tentacle were funny games. And Zac McCracken as someone mentioned earlier.

Actually laughed due to humor is Monkey Island 1 and 2. Especially the new versions with voice acting but the originals was awesome.

I've also laughed at many games due to how bad they was. I.e. Poor animation that are just so awful you have to laugh. Bugs and Glitches and so on. Funny times.
