In EQ2 one of my favourite things is collecting stuff, because aooarently the collection stuff can be found mostly in those places where people don't come, it encourages me to travel and adventure intoo rare places.

OMG, yes please. That's what I loved about EQ2. Don't hold me to it, but I think they've mentioned collections in one of their many articles. It was just a hint - there were mentioning how many things you can do and there they mentioned collections :P

You find relics and explore the lore. What more can a lore freak want?

And of course, I want to hear about GvG. I am not that much interested in large scale PvP and stuff like that. Sure, I will play it cause I always play everything a game has to offer but I want my organised tactical skill based PvP arenas :P (mainly GvG!)

I still want to see more details about COMBAT especially Skill-Synergies

But GW2 has covered most bases and those we have not seen, I am confident will be good. Where I think it might be weakest is catering for hardcore PvE and sandbox creativity. I'd like to see eg's that associate with this:

EG Dungeons, End-game, Challenging mobs or environments

    EG Crafting system

A pre-purchase that allowed you access to play the demo content til release and maybe that was updated with more content periodically eventually moving into full release. =)

I'm not too happy with the Gnomes and Tauren in GW -.-

I really hope mesmers will be in GW2 as it's always been my fav profession. And my main concern is about the end-game. I always thought those achievements and titles were a very sad excuse for content. More very challenging FoW and UW kind of areas and vanity gear that doesn't give a statistics advantage but is a nice incentive to go out for a hunt, I'd love to see that!

Could you explain what sort of "collecting" this is? I am unfamiliar with this gameplay option? TIA.

This is going a little out of context from what the original poster was aiming for, but it addresses a small area of possible concern that some people may share.  That area being the female models in the game being somewhat lackluster. The male models all seem to work for their races, but the females are a little bland.

Normally developers go out of their way to create visually appealing characters with an almost 'sex sells' mentality and while there's a lot of counter argument to be had of the 'they're just pixels, who cares lol', I'll always be in the camp that appreciates the appeal of enchanting characters.

That said, it would be great to see the TERA models in this game, especially since that particular game seems like it's going to be the next Aion (not a bad thing really, but not my style at all).

That barred, seeing some outfits that look less librarian would be a decent filler.  As awesome as the games look, there really only seems to be one look for all female models so far, the classy chick.  I raise my mug to the spectrum of trashy to classy and wouldn't mind seeing something less conservative thrown into the game.

Im hoping for a moderatly intense PVEPVP game with endgame raiding content like wow icecrown citadel or a challenging dungeon that takes skill and working to together to complete it in a specified time span.

I dont care about crafting in games, wow really caught me and I lvled jewelcrafting to 450 to make myself some profit thats about the only amount of crafting exp ive had in a MMORPG.

If arenanet does this right they can make this game a worldwide sensation possible able to defeat wow and drop cataclysm resubbers if they ingrave the attributes people want to see in an MMORPG game.

    Playing: WoW
Waiting On: SWTOR, GW2, Rift, TERA.

I can understand the similarities between gnomes and asura, but where are you seeing tauren?

its my belief that tauren are humanoid cows/oxen, and the only race that comes close to that is the Char, who are a humanoid feline race; not to mention they where a part of guild wars at it's start and a major part of its lore. Other than them both being a bit furry there isnt really any similarities.

I get the feeling some troll convinced you that GW 2 was copying WoW on those two races, and you believed him/her. Dont believe the false prophets o:

There have been many great warriors throughout the history that wear little armor, both males and females, but how would you know..

I'm with you on the crusade against jumping off the deep end in terms of the whole running with your ass sticking out animation style.  The TERA models, just visually, are really well done and the almost trashy looking armor styles in the game really aren't so bad considering what the genre has already seen.

The models themselves are easy on the eyes and the armor sets in TERA do a lot to add to the eye candy factor which is a psychological element in many aspects of entertainment.  My only concern with Guilds Wars 2 is that it feels a little too 'frumpy' when it comes to the female models/female armor.  Classy is great and all, but blending in some better looking models and especially some less regal armor types could only help the game.

Off the topic of how hot the pixels will look though, and onto a topic that is much more viable to this thread.  I'd love to hear about the pvp systems in more depth.  Pvp makes or breaks games for me no matter how quaint the pve is these days.  I'm not a hardcore, focus on pvp only type of player but I do find myself spending much more time in my games of choice when there are enemies to be slain who have both survival instincts and more than two abilities to hit me with.

Expansions, as quickly as they came in GW. You had 3 expansions within 2-2.5 years.

No TERA models, they look great just as the Aion character models, but sieges were a lag fest and needed to have the character visibility switched off. I prefer solid mass PvP in the World vs World PvP and epic scenes as with the fight against the huge Shatterer dragon: great scene, with a massive dragon coming from the sky and 60+ people fighting it and its minions.

And this was already there in a demo, live will be even better and more polished.

GW had some sexy yet reasonably modest outfits compared to the pure tackyness that is TERA and there wasn't any ridiculous running animation just to show off your ass.

The image on the right is basically all they need to aim for (models that look great are not worth screwing your game into a lag storm, that much I think anyone would agree with).  The monstrosity on the left though, looks like something Lady Gaga would wear on a night out.

The main concern with character models is there seems to be something missing from the current Guild Wars 2 female models and armors that I've seen so far.  It doesn't draw the eye much, it's a little too bland and conservative.  I mention TERA's models because they are some great looking models which seem to be slated to be wasted in a game we've all seen before (personal opinion, I'll still give TERA a shot but expect it to have the same short shelf life Aion had for me).

As mentioned earlier, I've loved everything I've seen about Guild Wars 2, so much that I have that old glimmer of hope a company is finally trying to move outside the boundaries everyone has been set into for almost seven years now.  My only concern is in the models and lack of slightly trashy armor to compliment the classy stuff, it's just a little boring right now.
