They have not officialy said about release in Europe. But, Sony has realized from past experiences not to ignore the European crowd. They will soon be exploiting Europeans as well as Americans with this crapy game. Save the euros and don't buy this game.
Not saying the game is crap. It is visualy gorgeous compared to other MMORPGs out there. The game is just boring as hell. Missiong are old and tired, community sucks, takes forever to get anywhere, major bug and lag issues and all of the best original features were cut to reach the April 15th deadline (just like to point out that they never did make the April 15th release date). If you really love Star Wars, buy the game; if you are looking to play SWG for the fun factor, wait a few months until everything settles down and more content is aded.
Amazon.co.uk states the European release date to be the 26. of December. If you can't wait that long, you can import the US-version from somewhere. I chose www.dvdboxoffice.com because they have worldwide free shipping. But the game seems to be sold out there and at several other places right now, with a new shipment not expected before the end of the month.
You could also try www.importmadness.com , but they are out of stock as well right now.
Oh, and Sony just announced that all European players of EQ and SWG will have to pay 17.5% of sales tax on the monthly fee, so its nearly $18 per month for us now.
Ah, I'm not from the UK, so I don't know the conversion rates, and that stuff. But I was just reading another post about prices and someone from the UK was saying something about 25, ah...25 somethings that it would cost them. Sorry I didn't catch it all.

I have been playing esting SWG since early Beta 3 (since like April). I must say, it had a lot of front end bells and whistles which kept me marginally entertained for a couple months, however that only blinds veteran gamers, like myself, for so long.
I have played and tested my fair share of MMORPGs and I can say I have never been so disappointed in a game as I have been with SWG. The game was released in my opinion 2-3 months prematurely, guess the suits needed their summer holiday $. Since release I have to assume that 50% of the development staff has moved over the EQ2 title because there has been VERY little progress in the game since it went gold. This progress has not been at the expense of entertaining content either as there has been little to none of that either.
Just for fun the other day when I was running from one town to another (5 10 minute run) I counted the bugs I could find in the interfaces and in any encounters with mobs. I was up to 17 before I became to disgusted to continue and decided to log out. These are not small type-o bugs either, these are fairly major bugs like pets getting stuck on objects, combat bugs, non-functioning weapons, broken attack styles, etc
The last straw for me was the confirmation that I would not get any of my personal possessions back from my house, which had vanished on me (fairly common occurance). My premise was littered with dropped items from 3 months of playing (damn rare to find in this game as they dont believe in loot). I was informed, finally 4 weeks after my service request had been submitted (first two submissions were deleted by SOE btw), that dropped objects could not be restored but I would get my house back, the furniture, and a bit of mined resource I had sitting in there. Basically I was getting back what I could buy 100x over with the cash I had accumulated from the severely broken economy. Messaged back the CSR and told them to not bother that I would not be renewing my subscription to the game for the following month so replacing those items they could was a moot point.
If you are a diehard SW fan, then save your money until the space expansion is released (sometime next year, maybe). By that time most the obvious bugs and exploits in the game might be resolved and you are not spending your hard earned money on beta testing a game for scruple less gaming company.
It is obvious from your posts that you are a die-hard SWG fan (I have no problem with that) but it seems that you are wishing that SWG will be good no matter what - hence, you appear to look for others to support your opinion. I can understand that, but personally before I purchase a game I try and obtain a spectrum of reviews before potentially wasting money.
You've pre-ordered the game so it's too late now but if you wanted a plethora of opinion then have a look at this thread: SWG Debate
I have no axe to grind one way or another as I never intended to purchase SWG. Actually, I did think about the idea back when it was first announced simply because I thought to myself 'How can SWG fail? It's simply too big to FUBAR!' - that's when I took a step back and thought about my thought bubble. "Self!" I said to myself! "Who's the developer?" .. Roh ro! SOE has their grubby mits over it. Then I thought that "too big to FUBAR" = a licence to print money.
Anyway, once you purchase the game let us know whether or not you enjoy the experience. If you enjoy the game then that's all that matters, right?
Seriously, always read the reviews first - good and bad. If you're going to make a choice at least make an informed choice. Oh, always, ALWAYS avoid bull-shit two sentance opinions along the lines of 'This game sux (my butt)" or "This game r0x0rs".

This is an oldie, funny to see that some people knew from the start how the game would be. Riotgirl gets props for not being a troll or a fanboi, and wow you've been around a while girl.
