how is xi now that 14 is out ?

in Final Fantasy XI

is there still lots of people playing.

only got to lv20 last i played was playing a healer but left i could never find a group was not in a link shell at the time.

and after playing 14 i think ill give xi a try again all i want to do is group and heal :).

ps when is best time to resubb is it at the start of the mouth thanks.

    Considering how FFXIV has been received by the majority so far, I'd say it will probably help FFXI more than hurt it lol. This game is far more polished, and I'm actually thinking of resubbing myself.

    And yes, I believe early in the month is the best time to resub since they charge on the first, regardless on when you started your account - that's how it used to be anyway. The PlayOnline billing system could certainly use some upgrading.

    Yep, you resub on the 31at, they bill you again the next day.

    Wow I never knew this thats crazy lol I think they got me lol...just resub recently.

    But I honestly think the game is alive and better now that the economy in the game has actually dropped and is almost normal for a lot of the items that were way over priced.

    Fields of Valor help a lot with leveling now and solo even.

    Hard to find an accepting link that isnt testing you and every other link that you have been in just to get in. (Hence I started my own based around new and returning players missions and leveling)

    Lower level job Leveling is hard unlease you want to really level sync which is normally cool with a lot of ppl. But on another note really easy to get a party at 65 in abyssea which is where everyone is. <--- Hence the reason lower job leveling is harder to get a party.

    But I have quite 3 times and came back everytime so I really dont think that I am going anywhere love the game always good when you have friends to play with also I came back with 3 friends and we now have made at least 7 new dedicated players.

    I spoke with my brother yesterday, who's been playing FFXI for about 5-6 years, and he told me a lot of his ld LS members were returning after trying FFXIV. He himself did participate from alpha in FFXIV and didn't even think of buying FFXIV at all.

    Personally I'm in doubt to give FFXI an other try. I do like FFXIV so far, but knowing there's only one main quest and it you've done that you gotta grind leves I'm not sure if I'll stay long in FFXIV. So right now I'm installing FFXI, just in case... ;-)
