EverQuest II: Ghouls & Beasties Return

Ghosties and ghoulies and things that go *BUMP* in the night have returned to Everquest 2. The Nights of the Dead live event will be running on all EQ2 servers from now through November 8th. New NPCs can craft a book of recipes and players can trick or treat in several locations. 

New for 2010:


  • Be sure to visit New Halas as they join in the celebration this year.

  • Show your holiday spirit with the new “Nights of the Dead Devotee” quest and get the dish on its cool reward.

  • New rewards for some of the returning Nights of the Dead events.

  • Check out the new costume illusions, a new recipe book and new house items available from Nights of the Dead merchants.

  • The Headless Horseman is back and tougher than ever, and he's carrying some new loot in his pack.

  • Wandering through Nektulos Forest might provide some spooky fun, too!

    I am seriously bummed that I have to miss this this year. :(   When the economy gets bad enough that I start missing things like THIS because I can't afford my subscription.....things have gotten harsh for the average American indeed.

    Yeah. :( I heard that we're going to get an announcement today about the 2nd year in a row of trillion dollar deficits. :(  I'm sure THAT will help the economy. *sighs*

    Concur, I too will miss this one as a result of droping subs and unfortunately EQ2 was one of them.

    My "home" is New Halas, but I can't find all the items needed for the quest. Okay, I've found only one so far in the Haunted Mansion. I heard from a guild that in Qeylos North an other one is hidden somewhere...

    Speaking about the Haunted Mansion... I think it's a great instance (did it twice already). Only a let down it's located in a level 60 area (I'm only 23 or so). Good thing there's a horse to get you there, but when I tried to grab one, an aggro bird was near the stables :(

    You can always jump on a free to play server for some quick fun. Don't see a problem.

    You could always pay for the 'weekend warrior' style subscription.

     

    All my characters are on the paid servers. So...I can't do the free server sub options unless I transfer a character and that's expensive...and then, I couldn't go back to the paid server. :( So sadly...gonna have to sit this year out, unless I just wanted to make a lowbie free character to just be able to do the event, but...kinda defeats my purpose, because I like the holiday stuff because of the cool things you can get for your house, and...my super awesome houses...are all on Everfrost.  /QQ
