NWN Modders! Please Cryptic, do the Toolset right ;]

So, which NWN (NWN1 and 2) had a better toolset and why? What are your hopes for Cryptics Toolset for NWN3? I sure as hell hope they take a step backwards and give us something like Bioware had in NWN1. I really miss the tile based terrian painter as it was so much faster to use and implement. To me NWN2's toolset was not much of one, really just ment for those with experience in GUI programming, which is fine but for those who want to create, that dont have experience in object oriented programming were a little jaw dropped.

The real problem with NWN2 was not the toolset, but how the players access the games.

    THis needs to happen.

I click on your game. If there is a download needed, it happens automatically. When it's done, I"m in the game.

    The end.

Not find your files, download them put them in the proper directory, then try to get in your game again.

Just click on your game, I'm in, period.

Given that its all hosted by Cryptic's servers, I doubt there will be any user journey issues.

Good luck expecting anyone to make a MMO you can mod.  I think you are getting mixed up what Cryptic is making.

If you like modding, Cryptic's version will not be for you

Well in a certain way Ryzom and CoX are moddable in that players can add thier own content.

Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

Judging from the two past games, this one will be shallow and  have "mods" available at the c-store.

I want to be proven wrong by cryptic.

Toolset? Silly gamer! Toolsets don't make Cryptic any money!
