LF Online Game similar to Diablo 2
Hi all,
Are there any somewhat recent games similar to Diablo 2? They don't have to be MMO's but I'd be looking for a closed online matchmaking system (like Bnet in Diablo 2) that prevents hacking. Basically I want a game like Diablo 2 or Titan Quest but with really good online play.
Any suggestions?

I too am interested in a good ACTION rpg. MMO or not, just as long as it has multiplayer and it is relatively recent. I want to kill plenty of mobs and don't want to spend 30 seconds on each.
Vindictus is hack n' slash dungeon crawling MMO.
Sacred Gold and Sacred 2?
Sacred 2 is pretty much dead these days. The majority that used to play online trickled away quite quickly once they found out the game was being unsupported as soon as they punted the expansion out the door.

Vindictus seems pretty cool so far, but Mytheon looks like it's gonna hit the spot. XD
I would recommened Vindictus, too. When Torchlight 2 comes out I would highly recommend that since there will, unlike the first, be multi-player and the 1st Torchlight was amazing solid. You can always maybe do Team Fortress 2 or L4D2. Yes those are not hack n slash but they are fast pace, there is no monthly sub, and man...they are fun!

I don't see how Vindictus is like D2, not that it isn't a good game, but it's hardly a dungeon crawler (that would imply exploration and lots of equipment loot) or even the same type of hack'n'slash.
I've been looking for that mmo Diablo for years, the closest I ever got was Dungeon Runner which is now shutdown. There isn't much else in the way of top-down games, with randomly generated maps, and acceptable drop rates of interesting loot.
Two that slightly resemble D2 style of gameplay are: Battle of the Immortals, Warrior Epic.
Not much else out there now, just keep in mind that both those games have their flaws. Weither it be with it's publisher or game design, i'll let you figure that out on your own.
OP try torchlight...its a singleplayer game though, but I hear they are making a new torchlight online game.

It's not so recent, but I would recommend Guild Wars. I feel it is close enough to Diablo 2. Can move character using mouse, graphic still impressive, town/outpost is kinda like lobby, and lots of contents.
Vindictus ? GW2 ? How are they similar to Diablo ?
The closest thing nowadays would be Battle of Immortals by PW entertainment. The game is now "supposed" to be something like D2 only more advanced.
Later they are planing on releasing a Empire of Immortals which will have the D3 feeling with an advanced new engine.
