Today, we continue our series of exclusive class reveals for Trion Worlds' Rift: Planes of Telara with an overview of the Stormcaller, masters of air and water.
Strengths
Stormcallers weave Air and Water magic together, their spells reaching heights of devastation in concert they could not achieve individually.
Weaknesses
Just as a storm cannot be wind or rain alone, the Stormcaller must combine spells to reach peak devastation. They thus take longer to warm up than other mages and are vulnerable to foes who know how to interrupt their rotation.
Read the full overview of the Stormcaller here.
Also, be sure to check out yesterday's reveal of the Justicar.

sounds neat. Has anyone else noticed that almost ll of the currently reveals class, all of the backgrounds are about Female heroes? i don't care if male/female, just noticed it's happening
Seems interesting... but I'd like a few more details on how the synergy is going to work... is it like...
Rainstorm: Causes X damage every 3 seconds over 30 seconds in the target area, with an extra Y every tick if Thunderstorm is active.
Thunderstorm: Causes Z damage every 2 seconds over 16 seconds in the target area, with an extra W every tick if Rainstorm is active.
Lightning Strike: Causes A instant damage to the target, with an extra B if the target is under a Rainstorm and an extra C if it is under a Thunderstorm.
Maybe that's sort of what it'll be like? Kinda curious...
Im not judjung any game until i play the beta.
Im curious about the gameplay.I have a feeling that it would be very bad
Not my sort of class but nice for spellies to see what they might want to play.

MAGA
I have a feeling it may feel like a Vanguard Druid.
They've given a goalpost of first quarter 2011 and have been running 24/7 alpha for months now. Beta is probably right around the corner and I'd expect the first round of Beta to hit either the first of the new month or near the end.
They are continually adding people to the alpha, which from what I understand, is where the nuts-n-bolts testing happens and beta testing is really only going to be used for special events, encounter testing or mass testing.
So far, most of the stuff they've released seems to be rather polished but for the time being it's only the surface and they have yet to release anything specific on crafting, which for some is a huge part of a game.
They've said there is 'epic' end-game crafting, so there is that. Don't expect it to be too much different than WoW, but I'm sure there will be twists to it.
I actually expect beta to come next week, or the first week of November at the very, very latest. Everything seems to show now that they've mostly finished getting ready for it. However, if there is an open beta (or at least a mass closed beta), then I wouldn't expect it for November just yet. I'm putting down March-April for release. Certainly not January.
1,2,3... 1,2,3... 1,2,3...
Oh well, at least they aren't trying to hide it.
Forever looking for employment. Life is rather dull without it.
Man, if you feel like being one, be one. Assume your true personality.
P.S. they are giving away beta keys every day on facebook and twitter.

I think this game is going to be vastly different from WoW with the mutli-classing, dynamic content and lack of sillyness.
This is going to be a very, very good game that will take in the hoards of the ex-WoW players who tire of the booger jokes and choo choo sounds and are ready for a real mmorpg.
This is my new game. I absolutely love it.
i think this is the class for me.
Yup seems to get better and better every time they post new info.
This class seems lame. With the Dual Class thing, I wonder, if each class will get uniques mechanics.
