One of the worst trailers of blizzard I have seen in a long time, blizzard trailers are usually bad ass but this was just pure bad.

AND OMG...duel wielding cross bows that act like pistols is just ridiculous

quit the PR bullsh*  diablo will be good game, but cmon, blizzie revealed? who cares.., will be watching PC game magizines. If you will start posting news about single/multiplayer games, than you should do it with them all. This is indeed wrong, you are mmorpg magazine.

I'm not sure why this is being touted as their cinematic trailer for the game, or rather....why people are misunderstanding and saying it IS.  It's a CLASS INTRODUCTION....nothing more, nothing less. This is NOT the cinematic for the GAME ITSELF.  It's merely the intro for a new class.

D3 will undoubtedly be just as amazing as Starcraft II. This is Blizzard. They're not going to release it half done, lacking polish, etc. Consider Starcraft II. Yeah....it will be the same quality and popularity, I'm sure. I think people forget that Blizzard, like them or not....are The Golden Goose. They lay freaking golden eggs. There is nothing we can do to stop that other than swearing off buying anything they make. It's really your only recourse if you want to put them under. But good luck on convincing the millions of other people that play their games....to do the same. LOL

I'm not sure on D3 yet, as far as me buying it.....I probably won't.  I have other games that I imagine will be consuming my time next year, for one GW2, and then probably The Secret World if it makes it out next year too.  One only has TIME for so many games.

Complaining about games that do not quite fit the MMO mold is a waste of time these days.  The genre has so many aberrations that it is hard to qualify what fits and what does not.  I have given up trying to say what is and what is not a MMO, it is just not worth it any more.  Seems that all a game needs is multiplayer any more to qualify.

As to Diablo III, they seemingly have to cover it, as they have covered such games as Torchlight, World of Tanks, etc, etc, in the past.

If the game does not fit in the category you enjoy, then just ignore it.

Even for that it was kinda crappy :P

Though I do know that D3 will be an awseome game.

The introduction basically had the same quality as all the other introductions. It was a nice reveal and nothing more. It is more or less the "Van Helsing" class. The same fantasy weapon from the movie. So what if it is not realistic? Are mages real? Can monks teleport around where you live? Get over it.

I just think that the business suits that run Blizzard have been doing market research on their target gamer market after every class unveiled for the game and had left the last class a bit vague and loose and just poled from Battle net users and asked them what class they might want...hey presto the WoW guys wrote down I want to play a hunter and there you go...the reason for the final Diablo 3 class, one to keep their player base happy. I agree with the above it doesn't seem a particularly deep or spectacular cinematic trailer, which for one reason or another makes me think Blizzard rushed the final class too, perhaps the hidden deadline for next year might be a bit tight for them.

Anyway, D3 will probably be a blast of an RPG, and I will play it...I just wish I didn't feel a little bit cheapened by Blizzard going for the mean values of their player base, it always feel like dumbing down and going for the numbers and fast buck. A bit like SC2 I think we will be writing, yeah it's nice, but if they'd been more adventurous and innovative instead of giving people the same basic game updated to todays standards we might be writing best game of 2011. But, heck, I guess thats the way of game sequels, they have to try and keep the core player base with them, and since Blizzards core player base is basically WoW I think it means it has to mainly appeal to that crowd.

I thought it was pretty awesome. No not there best and a little too WoWish, but still, very cool and much better then their recent Cataclysm trailer. The part with the exploding bolo around the demon's neck, which in turn blew his head off, was just priceless to me. I'm sure the offical main trailer that'll hit when the game nears launch will be nothing short of amazing.

As for the "ridiculous duel wielding rapid fire cross bows", it's really no more ridiculous then turning a single arrow into a multi arrow wide spread shot, like the Amazon class from D2.  Or someone raising a small army of dead people, ala Necro class, also from D2. And certainly no more ridiculous then the idea that a horde of demons can exist in the first place...

I was fortunate enough to come to Blizzcon this year.  I got to play her a little yesterday and I had fun.  She focuses on long range (naturally) damage and root abilities.  She has some other cool tricks like a blade trap. From what I've played of the game, the monk is the funnest class in single player and the barbarian rules in PvP arena battles (Wizards come in a very close second IMO).  Ofcourse, this is all a very early build of the game.   I'll get to play a little more today, then it's back to waiting.  I doubt that this game will be out till late 2012.  But when it does, it will be epic.

1 World of DiabloCraft III is not mmorpg game. I wonder for just what reasons mmorpg.com is so intent on promoting it, hmmm...?

    2. the character designs in trailer....ughhh, where's my dark fantasy seetting? did I somehow watch the wrong trailer and instead saw something from wow:cataclysm? I'm sorry buf this is not diablo i knew(not surprising considering there's none from original diablo authors working on this, since most of them have been fired).

    3. This only increases my anticipation for Torchlight II and Torchlight MMORPG.

tears stream down my eyes, tears of joy.  more signs of blizz working on the game of the century.  assassins revamped with usuable crossbows,  amazing traps and bombs woth using!!!!   dangit  I want to play this now, not 2 years from now.  or at least give an expected quarter for release.  however, i think i can sit back and chill today.  d3 previews are always so .... awesome!!!

mmo= (massive multi player online)   so lets review.  over 100 people online well yep that makes this an mmo pal.  and rpg   lets see Role Playing Game ( hmm the gero come to save the world as always)  yep  thats a single character role with definent story line.   so  last i checked  diablo 3 is an mmo rpg.

I don't agree it is an actual MMORPG.

Open world is missing, but I agree a lot of elements were taken from MMO's, like some crafting and of course the Tier sets and character progression.

But who cares, it is an online game played with - no doubt - millions of players on line. And you can play it even on hard mode. (dead is dead).

I even think there is a far bigger market for it than the next 13 in a dozen MMO's we have seen in recent years.

---> Let's see which game will gather more players: the one with the old fashioned game play or the one with the voice overs :))

I thought the trailer was pretty cool. I haven't seen much on DIII but that is one bad biddy. I would rather her be my ally than my enemy.
