WOW Players

necrotanknecrotank Member Posts: 57

So, are there any WOW players here? I'm thinking about moving over from WOW due to the lag issues and such. The graphics do really seem nice on this game. How does this compare or not compare and how does the game really feel?

Thanks,

Necrotank

I used to play WOW, got lvl 60, scratched my nuts for 2 weeks, got full valor set, guild broke up, lost intrest in game.

Yes, this is part of my problem. My guild has just disbanded into two or three other guilds, I have sort of lost interest. Also, there don't seem to be even half the people online that there were last week. I think this honor system has killed everything. If you aren't already level 60 you will never get there because you will be ganked everywhere you have to go.

This is kind of going off topic, but please forgive me. Anyways, when I was playing CoH lastnight during a Hamidon raid, someone said that after the GW launch CoH would be even more of a ghost town. Quite actaully as of around 10-12 lastnight CoH did seem alot more empty then usual and also today it seems a little emptier then normal.

Since GW is a big change IMO from alot of what is out there on the PC gaming market, I wouldn't doubt that alot of players have left other MMO's like WoW, EQII, CoH, and whatever else is out there to try/play GW.

Well, I believe i'm going to leave my WOW account for now and play GW for a week or two and then decide which one I'm going to play. I like the idea of multi-classing in GW right now. This could make it a bit more interesting and fun because as of right now on WOW everyone player that is a specific level is pretty much the same, minus the few trait differences or if they have epic equipment.

guild wars offers the perks of an end game without a grind.  It's what every game should have been.

Yes it's going to kill most games out there, at least until everyone beats it on single player then it'll slowly die down until the next expansion and so on...  the game is amazing but I think long term playability is only going to be in the pvp (I don't know for sure) so it'll be like once in awhile quiting WoW or CoH to play some good pvp (like counter-strike).
