Accepted But not accepted....

pupurunpupurun Member UncommonPosts: 561

So my account status is accepted. But i also got a mail that tells me that i was not accepted at the first beta phase. So i wasn't accepted. That means there are a lot of people willing to try out this game. Ok i can understand that,no grudge.

But then why do they send each accepted player 2 more keys? They want more? Or they want their second beta phase full as well and they want to be ready ? So they can't accept me cause they're full BUT they are sending me keys to get them MORE people. PLUS they give 3000 keys to mmorpg.com. Just for the heck of it. And they tell you to redeem the beta key as if registering for FW is something you should consider yourself lucky. This is the first beta game(and i played almost all of them) where they invite you to register for closed beta, after a while send you a key, you redeem it, they tell you you are accepted into beta and then tell you you are NOT accepted in the first phase and at the same time they are filling all websites and mails with MORE KEYS! Are they joking with us?

Sounds like this company is making a mess out of their beta. Maybe it's for the free publicity. Someone should look into it.

Yeah I dont really it, can someone tell me what happens when you ARE ACCEPTED?

For me: My account says accepted and I got he email with the 2 keys. I did not get an email saying Im not accepted like you did.

    Whats the deal?

LOL, sounds like they know how to take advantage of players desperation to get into closed betas.

Brilliant marketing, most of them will play anyways no matter how much they get kicked around now.

I logged in with my account details, redeemed the beta key and was accepted right away:

    "Beta Registration Complete!

You have now successfully registered your account for the Forsaken World beta. As a beta player, you'll get to experience Forsaken World ahead of thousands of others.

While Forsaken World is our most highly anticipated MMO to date, we know that a game isn't great unless you're able to play with your friends, so we're giving you two additional keys to share below."

Maybe try to redeem another key and see if the same happens again?

    Good luck.

Many of the mmo makers now are accepting the beta key you put in as a way to be selected for the beta not as surefire beta access.

I know Rifts is doing it that way as a few others.

Just having a key no longer means you are in.

Personally I think its rotten that they pass out all these so called beta keys and then tell us it's not a guranteed way to get into FW.  they should had at least informed us before we went to get our beta keys, and did they?    nope cause they wanted to advertise and play with our heartstrings, not very polite and honest it is not. cause it's left us testers wondering what else have they not told us and do we have all the facts?

This is not a way to start off game relations and most of the time it comes back to bite game companies in the rear. even for a company like perfect world, this does not help them in the least. since it will create a wave of negative publicity that at some point they will need to address or gods help us FW may not be as big as they want it to be.

The way I remember it I registered for the Beta, Perfect World sent me a Beta key, I went back to their site and entered it and a few minutes later I got an email saying I was accepted and I got two keys to hand out. I did this earlier this month, maybe it changed, or maybe the keys MMORPG.com has are registration keys and not Beta keys. Even could be they are Beta keys, it's just to late so they are putting you in the second phase, but they still give you keys so your friends can play in the second phase with you.

I understand that but I registered 2 weeks ago and alas they start mentioning that it is no gurantee. and that the first letter was not the you are in the beta but that I was to expect a second letter. did i get one? nope and my friends got in. makes others feel left out of all the fun they should be having since they signed up with a beta key.

...Brilliant marketing? ... no for me. I`m definitivly not more interested with this  - probably crappy - game, and others products from this developer/distributor. That`s brilliant move :)

signing up for the Beta at any time (including the keys from MMORPG.com) was always for a CHANCE to get into the beta. The accepted email guarantees you a spot in the beta but not the first phase. If I am correct in saying there will be 2 closed beta phases.

A small amount of players were accepted to closed beta phase 1 and will experience content to lvl 29 and not much more.

However everyone signed to beta with a key will be in phase 2 and will experience leveling, guild wars, arenas and duels and this will probably allow them to test server stability.

I guess from there it will enter Open Beta and like most other f2p games, stay in OB for months and months :)

People that have received mail that they have been accepted to beta and have their account status accepted to beta are still not neccessary able to test beta. When you start the game and choose the server after you try to log in and if you get "incorrect acccount or password" message ( yes with 3xc typo ) you have not been let into "phase 1" of closed beta.

I hear that. I have beta tested all their games, and never had a problem like that. I posted on the FW website about them being lazy and stupid and only letting in n00bs, but in much stronger words. LMAO

Yep this is all true. And the only response by GM's have been we all need to learn to read.

Seriously, just go play Heroes of the Three Kingdoms but imagine you're in medieval Europe.

I'm in CB1.  This game is nothing revolutionary and certainly not worth all of this insanity.
