Guild Wars is an excellent game for fun, fast paced PVP action. With an extremely stable client, streaming zone downloads and no monthly fee, this one shouldn't be overlooked.
To the people who said it was bad: You either haven't played, it isn't your type of game or you clearly overlook well made games.
I support Imperatorian and Rammur. Because it is free we must give game a chance, and quit with gramatic. Not all of us are from America or England, and there is no rule that we need to speek clear english.

hah. We never said "there is a rule that you need to speak clear english" We obviously know what it means, its just a funny replacment for a word, just asking to be ostracized. Also, gramatic is the way words fit together in a sentence and stuff like that. Bed was just a spelling error.

I'm not impressed. Extensive instancing ruins the MMO feel, as does the lack of available exploration opportunities. It's essentially Diablo, but with some places where you might find more than 4 people. I'm glad that I don't have to play a monthly fee for it, because I can't see myself playing the game for more than 2-3 hours a month, and I doubt that I'll purchase the expansions.
I dont care of those that say that it's bad, you gotta test it and make your own opinion. I love it! played WoW untill GW came out, tested it. the very same hour i cancelled WoW account. since that "honor" system came on there is just too much ganking. laggy servers. GW is a very PvP oriented game. killing mobs is just for lvling (u get exp in pvp also) no ganking and the random team arena events are fun i may be wrong but it's kinda like Counter-strike. u start a match, it doesnt last long and u just do it again and hoping to do better. WoW may be more fun when Battlegrounds come out but i wont even try it
I have been a long time fan, interested in Guild Wars since Arena.Net showed us the E343, so go ahead and disregard my post. I simply can't be a regular MMORPG.com regular, so I'm not worth listening to.
First off -- no monthly fees, excellent service, and constant streaming updates. No more patches to worry about.
Second off -- skill matters instead of time played. Reach the maximum level in a short amount of time. 28 hours is the current fastest time we've calculated on the Guild-Hall.net forums.
Third -- better PvP you can get into immediately. Articles have been written about how you can start PvP gaming in 5 seconds after account and character creation. No more will you have to level up your character to 20 to get started in the battlefield, Guild Wars comes equipped with the ability to make premade PvP characters. Teamplay in these matches matters above all, and, if anything, this is the best part about Guild Wars, and the ultimate endgame.
Fourthly -- no more walking for hours. Guild Wars allows you to teleport to areas you've already been to.
Fifthly -- see the most beautiful environments in an MMORPG. Enter the Kingdom of Ascalon and be amazed as tree branches flow in the wind and cast shadows on the tree trunks as the world comes alive. If anything I'd have to say that the enchanting graphical side of the game trumps any MMORPG I've seen to date.
Don't get mad at me, after all, arn't I just a troll?
Nice graphics, gameplay is fun if not a bit simple....not the knd of game I will spend hours at a time playing, not enough chartacter development for that. But overall will give the game an 8.
It amazes me how badly some of the people want this game to be the king daddy to the point of out right lies.
While I do enjoy playing , I wont be turning off any MMoRPGs soon, plus IMO I am not so sure GW even belongs on a site dedicated to MMoRPGs.
GW seems to me like an online game, not a massively online roleplaying game... Its more like diablo than anything else, with improvements - but still.
but then again we all know how diablo was popular... so i guess GW will as well. I never played diablo... just a game where you click every 1/2 second. Click click click clikc clikc click click
As I predicted before, It turned out to be rather boring. I purchased the game yesterday, and after 3 hours I was already Yawning........Never happened before.Usually when i get a new game I will get very excited and play it for hours to end. With GW, just didn't happen. But I will try to play for a week, and see if I will change my mind (there are more chances that the sun will not rise tomorrow, than me liking this game, but I don't like to give up easily )
It has no persistant world. It isn't an mmorpg. It looks like a fun game, and I may pick it up one of these days if I am between MMORPGs, but I can't see it ever being a full time game for me like a real MMORPG. The graphics are damn nice though, much better than the cartoonish graphics of WoW (at least for my tastes).
I don't really care if it's an MMO or not, but I'm still going to enjoy the game. However, if you ask me whether Guild Wars is an MMORPG or not, I'd say it's a new kind of MMORPG. ArenaNet has done a great length from past interviews to explain it has the MMO elements and the RPG as well but it is not an MMORPG. The term MMORPG has always been associated with the first games of this genre such as UO and Everquest primarily based around monthly fees. After reading the articles and interviews related to this subject and after playing for the betas, I can feel the MMO aspects of GW but not your traditional one. MMO doesn't not have to be completely persistant and besides MMO is always dynamically changing which will be the case for Guild Wars.
So in other words, the coining of MMO/RPG depends on how you look at the game.

It's definitley bed. No questions asked.
It's bed. It's even bedder than everquest!
Alright guys, joke's over after the third post. Let's stop slagging him off for his English shall we?
In my opinion, it's rather good. Not a substitute for a payed MMORPG, but a nice change of pace when I'm done playing my EVE account for the day.
Yeah morons shouldn't complane they should complain. It's bed.

It's just too simple for my taste. I think the AC2 expansion pack will be a much more in-depth game, and it's coming out in about 5 days.
