Considering the old republic games take place thousands of years before the movie saga, makes that impossible.
You are correct. I actually thought about that, but after I posted. Ok, maybe we could crit his great, great, great, great grandpa and then he would never exist. Sounds like a great storyline to me.
I second that idea but I know some kids that would smother me in my sleep if I did that. Kids love the JarJar, I don't get it, but it's entirely entertainment in itself watching them giggle and laugh when he is getting run over during the battle with the droids in the first movie. I really couldn't get into the movie much at the theater but watching it later at home with kids in the room was fantastic. That ended up being one of the most played movies ever at my house. *nod to Lucas's genius

Agreed, My kids have not watched him yet. They still need to grow up a bit before I show them Star Wars films, but they probably would love Jar Jar.
Yeah, Jar Jar may have been annoying, but it was a character that appealed to younger people. Kid that start liking Star Wars now, because of Jar Jar Binks will turn around several years later and be fans of Star Wars for characters like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Darth Vader.

Agreed. While I found him a bit annoying, he was just like in every SW movie, which had it's "kid character". Don't really understand the hate.

I seriously hope there's a gungan level, regardless. I'd buy the game just to annihilate their entire city, GTA style.
Or maybe irrational hatred for characters would one day stop and we can all continue to enjoy continuing sagas as we once did before we were all so grown and sophisticated.
but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

just because its ment for kids doesn't mean it has to be horrible..
jarjar is a comic relief character, yes. hes aimed at children, yes.
does that mean he has to be a stupid, annoying puppet that he is? no.
look at every single show thats aimed twords children but also has adult appeal. yes, its easier to do with a whole show then one character. but still. the fact of the matter is something for children does not mean it should not also be for adults. and comic relief characters do not have to be stupid and annoying.

As much as I dislike Jar Jar as a character I can not help but agree. Besides Threepio has always been just as annoying to me, if not more so.

Agree, Jar Jar was a big annoyance for me as well. I have no issue with comic relief characters, but I also think the robots did a fine job with that in the original trilogy without being obnoxious and retarded. Lucas tried way too hard to appeal to the kid-crowd and in the process pissed off a lot of the viewers that grew up with the original trilogy and basically got him to where he is today.
I think Jar Jar gets a lot of hate because the movies was absolutely awesome up until the point that Jar Jar appears then it just started sucking big time. Ergo Jar Jar gets blamed.
to be fair, people show alot more hate for the fact anakin comes off like a whiney brat.
but you cant really shove a blaster in the mouth of an attitude and pull the trigger........or could you?

Totally beat me to it...
And yet the last movie of the 3 new ones is the best of those, despite the actor that played him seemed more like he was trying to imitate a a plank of wood.
The hate mostly come from the fact that the new ones plain sucked compared to most of the older ones. If it was a brand new franchise then they would have been thought of as OK.

The original movies were better than the last three. However, the original three definitely had there "what" moments. I found the Ewoks to be annoying.
I'd like to destroy some gungans. This could mean underwater exploration and such.

Make you the 1 of 2 people. I liked Jar Jar. Say what you want, but he did add depth and his own little version of comedic relief to the story.
