When does this patch go live?
So...you cry because they add server transfer and some stupid pets?
Servers are going down shortly so 1.4 may be going live today. That is just a guess but they just had weekly maintenance two days ago so this downtime must be something special.
I know Mythic have a tendency to just 'feign' to actually do tests to get 'feedback', but I still don't think they'll just throw it out there when they are still testing it like they are at the moment. Besides, they said decemberish before. Unless Cataclysm is freaking them out there's really no sense in them being early.
I guess he is "crying" because you have to pay to enlarge your renown level limit. This is more then just stupid pets of fluff stuff. This is actually something you should get for paying 15 euro/dollars every month! I will finish my 14 free days and so far enjoying it agian. This would not be something to keep me away, but I do dislike a move like this.
When does Skaven become a playable race?
Yeah, it may just be to remove the Daemon Moon Event stuff.

Heard about the store items. THought they were just fluff as well. Truth is they give you an advantage in RvR (Speed buff and realm rank). Buying levels is not that big a deal to me in this game becauseyour rvr exp level is what matters the most. Im actually sad. I was looking forward to their revamped RvR items, just didnt think they were going to attach an item mall to it to milk out some funds.
Where do I go for a RvR game that isn't a fake free to play? Is there still hope for AoC PvP? When I tried it there was no action in the mini games at all during my play hours.
Played the game for 6 months and one of the things I hated was the stupid pathing (e.g. getting stacked in fences, rocks etc.), big engine problem..

Not really a playable race.
Just a temporary siege 'transformation' which only lasts until you zone. They're mostly based around siege utility and not on damage.
They already removed it .
Well, enlarge your renow level or you level cap, isn't the same thing? Every expansion you buy for every mmorpg increase the cap limit, on war we increase renow instead of normal level because is PvP oriented.
What's the difference?
The expansion wrapped around it for one.
Something like a new zone?Or new Items? And stuff like that?...ho wait!!

There's no new zone. There's a new scenario.
'New items' is debatable since apparently even the new gears have graphics made years ago. Yes, they added some stats.
What 'stuff like that'?
If there were actual new content attached to these packs I wouldn't have any problem with it at all. But there isn't, your mostly just paying to increase your RR and to have access to the 2 new best armor sets(which are rehashed concept art from before launch btw) and if you want to be competitive at all you have no choice but to buy the pack.
This patch was supposed to be about listening to the players and reworking the siege systems to make them more fun. I like the new changes to the game play and think it will help the game overall. I just dont think they are offering enough in the pack to justify charging for it.
New items:
1)New armors(not only the one for RR80100 but also for other levels, also, the old graphics depends from the fact they haven't still not implemented the new artwork)
2)New weapons
3)New Dyes
4)New Mounts
5)New pets
A new dungeon integrated with the new ORvR's mechanic.
Stuff like that:
4 playable new class with they're new ability
New siege weapons(flying sh1t, don't remember the name sorry and other)
New scenario system
All for 15$....now, take a common expansion and divide his content for 15$...i'm sure you will obtain a lot less.
You've obviously not divied up Cataclysm then.
It's ok. You believe all the stuff you mentioned there has value. I can get into that. All of that for 15$, fair enough.
So what happened to your sub then? If you take out all of 1.4 you have over 2 years worth of subs from hundreds of thousands of people, and what do you have to show for it? LotD, and not even an expansion on the horizon. Some redone armors, some late classes, some redone weapons, removal of forts, fixes fixes fixes fixes, removal of scenarios to make them weekend based.
For 2 years plus and not even an expansion that's abysmal. In Daoc, with less subs they still made expansions regularly, and you got more than the amount of 1.4 put together for free with expansions like New Frontiers(The same company, less subs, less developers, over half a decade ago).

The point here is not the value of 1.4 as a whole. It's not the sub based content on it's own. It's the two of them together.
Looking at 1.4 alone I can certainly see 1.4 in itself being something people would gladly pay 15$ for. If there had been an actual decent rate of content in the last 2 years, and a full fledged expansion on the way then people wouldn't have blinked twice for the 'extra' stuff they can get with packs like these.
Instead you get to pay for their fix to RvDoor and an extra scenario, and weapons and armors which mostly have old/reworked art, and a shop filled with old mounts, and a single level upgrade, some barber tokens a lot of people will never use, not to mention a forced RR upgrade if you want to have any hope of continuing to play in T4 on a fair level.
In most games this would have been a content patch, and yet here they not only replaced it for their expansion, they're even making you pay for it.
I'm wrong or Cataclysm isn't even out yet? And, probably is going to become the bigger espansion of all the time?
So, what about trying to compare this pack with the average of expansion? Do it and you will see i'm right, 15$ for all this is okay.
Personally, War worth my sub in this two years, and the news that they're going to release new packs every 23 month is great, i prefer new content every month instead of waiting a year.
It 's just a matter of taste...
