Heading back to EQII, should I re-roll?

I haven't played in almost a year, and I have several random characters from 1-30. Should I just re-roll and for a fresh experience? Also, is this this recommended way to go for soloing: http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Soloing_Timeline ?
Bascially, I want to see as much of Norrath as I can and get a lot of the lore. I previously played a Necro for easy soloing, but should I change that up? I've never even been to Qeynos. I mainly just want a fun class that is easy to solo (since that's what I'll probably be doing up until I can join a guild).

f2p or p2p? can u do both with same acct? (like f2p and p2p play together) -- rerolling will deff. get you more attached to your toon...
im thinking of returning. and i will reroll. but i do have a lvl 70 or so on p2p that can help fund
P2P. I am not a fan of the F2P structure.
ok things i would recommend. as you know i dont currently play, but i think my words fit.
Reroll. for some reason. when i just pick up an old toon... it just doesnt feel right... like jumping into a singleplayer game you half finished years ago....
Dont ask what class too play...ever. Fight out in your heart what you want to be.. in my experience as a player that would rather just be what my guild wanted ( you need a tank that does alch and tailoring ok) no matter what some1 tells you..you will always know best for you. im sure you might already know what you want to be and just lying to yourself or figuring out what will excelerate your fun-factor.
and far as i remember... they made eq2 soloable with all classes now.
and im sure you can find a guild fairly quickly... if just to social and get tips/help every once in a while atleast.
Don't bother going back. SOE has to do a server merge this month because theres not enough people playing EQ2 and most servers are dead with only a few raid guilds logging in for raid then logging right out after raid.

I played not too long ago and it was not dead, but I was on the most populated server.....
Anyway, the game is soloable with any character. I am thinking of making a SK/INQ duo with my wife or a Swash/Fury (or mystic). We will probably make a Necro/Warlock to fill out the clothie section as well.
I personally love the scouts (brigand and swashbuckler) they are fun.
Ah good for you I'm playing on Blackburrow which will merge with Everfrost on the 16th of this month . Many player want too see more server merges and what server did you play on besides the pvp server which was soooooooooooo populated.
Definitely Reroll, level 30 is a few hours' work. Start in New Halas (will require a good or neutral class), New Halas is the most recently added starter zone and most people starting now are starting there.
