What people dont seem to realize is GuildWars hasn even been released yet as WOW has, so you cant compare GW to WOW yet. You may vote positive or negative if you have played BETA as I have (and I loved it). I think GW is amazing with such a high rating and it still isnt realeased. I myself will be playing this game 24/7 because it is so good. I have never played WOW so I cant judge it. I hope everyone tries GW as it is such a teriffic game, I myself will be trying WOW soon once i get a little $$. GW also has great PVP and PVE. But the 2 arent mixed which some may like but i dont so im completly happy with GW and will be playing right when its relaeased. I to blizzard for making such great games.

Having tried both, I didn't like WoW because it was the same as everything else out there. If you're looking for a better version of other MMORPGS, go WoW. If you're looking for something new, fun to play, etc got GW.
I actually look forward to playing guildwars. Never did that with any other MMORPG (I know its a "CORPG" or something, but I have to compare somehow :P )
forget about these "games" wow is a singleplayergame with fees, cause everybody is doing his own thing, furthermore the graphics are bad, gw is without fees, so you'll have to await a lot of addons and a bad support
I haven't played GW, but I have been playing WoW since release. The massive number of bugs, loads of downtime and lag make WoW pretty poor. The game is ok but the online service is very poor, Customer support takes days to respond then you get an automated response or a 2 line response saying on the lines of "We know this is a problem and are working on it".
Hopefully the reliabilty of the service will improve and this will make WOW a far better game.

Basically, if you like PvP in the sense that you like to jump on people out a bush get WoW. If you like repetative arena based combat (the arenas in GW aare awful) get GW.

GW will last on the market for about 2 years, WoW will last longer, but in general they are both short term mmorpgs.
If want something where you will start at a level right on par with most other players, get GW.
If you don't mind playing catch up, get WoW...There are plenty of lowbies on WoW to team with for quests so that is no a problem...However if you try PvP in WoW at a low level chances are one of the many lvl 55-60 people will take you down when you aren't even paying attention.
Personally I like WoW better. I just can't get into the interface of GW and the character types just don't seem all that great to me.
id say wow, GW is for people that can only play 15min at a time, or little kids that dont have a job. GW is all instanced and is hardly an mmo. its junk. wow has its cons too but gw is just wow cut short.

Easy answer:
Get WoW if you like Massively-Multiplayer Online Games; get GW if you don't. If you are limiting your choice of game-buying decisions to only those two titles, then the decision process is exactly that easy.
Get WoW if you want a game that is pvp driven with a terrible pvp system. Too many problems to name them all here but WoW pvp is about 80 percent zerging, 20 percent lag/bug and 0 percent strategy. I couldnt stomach any more after I reached level 60 and found nothing to do but pvp in the same areas with each battle identical to the last. WoW is just another auto-generated action figure dropped down a shoot and running down a conveyor towards big $$$ in the developers pockets. 0 immersion. My two cents.

GW is the game for you. WoW has a pretty good Pvp too but not as good as GW, but you can play WoW much longer time then GW and its also very fun. In GW they will give out a new expansion every 6-9 month, and in every expansion is as big as the normal game. so they will get money from everyone buying the expansions. Both games rules but WoW is more for them who can play more like 5-6 hours a day!
You should play GuildWars! Its much better. If you look at the good points. theres no subscription fees, but then again, you have to buy the expansions. And the graphics on both are equal, the combat is really good. And the overall gameplay is really good. but I prefer GW for no subscription fees.
mmmm i have wow and i took part in several of the gw beta's.
i really enjoyed gw but the thing which let it down for me was the lack of items and the fact that everyone looks the same. Also the fact that some area's of the game you can only play with npc creatures.
the only bad thing about wow is the downtime of the servers but they compensate for that by adding gametime to accounts

I played GW in the betas and now i am playing it now that it is retail. i love the game.. great game. PvP is soo fun.. no more Ganging yay!
I played WoW... beta... never want to play it again.. in 5 hours got to lvl 13... human preist yay... PvP in that game was dumb..

GW PVE is a lot better than WoWs, I could play PVE on GW for ever and not get board.
GW PVP is good but not as good as WoWs. The raids on WoW are really good, cant get enough of them. Really looking foward to battle grounds.
