i was kinda hoping that this news belongs to Earthrise
So What Now?
Going to be interesting how this game works out with it's single server no instance design. Even CCP has problems with such a design and you can bet their hardware/software is far more sophisticated than what this game has.

First off, great news! Glad to finally see an official date set. I'm sure launch will go smoothly as I've been a part of the beta for many months now. Can't wait to get going again once we go live!
As for you, you must realize that they will be starting with a small player base come launch. They have been able to keep the servers very stable throughout the part of closed and open beta I have been a part of. Even with the largest fights organized I never saw the server lag, nor the client. I believe that was around 80-100 present in a small area at one time. Sure, this may not seem like a ton for you coming from eve, but in perpetuum this will likely be an extremely large battle if it happens naturally in the game. They have built this game from the ground up themselves, and have made it so it reduces network traffic as much as possible, because they wanted to keep their operating costs at a minimum (probably why the subscription costs $10). I have faith they will be able to keep up with the population, and that the servers will be able to handle a massing of players for a big fight.
They will certainly have some time before the servers are stressed, though. With some of the stress test pvp events that were held, I'd imagine they're prepared for what could come.
Yay! Lock an load. This is going to a fun, but somewhat bumpy ride!
Can't wait for the 18th!
Wishing them luck on the launch. I wish more games would try to be single shards.
Single-server, no instance, player-centric ecosystem. Big hurah for another studio that gets what massively-multiplayer is about.
I must support any sandbox game that is player driven or else they die out. See you there!
I wish them the best!
Good luck, for launch day. you worked a lot, i hope you'll succeed
See you on the battle field!
Pre-launch the 18th. Cant wait. ;3
Just a note, I did participate in the beta test and I liked the game, but this game is a work in progress, the lack of content is noticeable, but I wish them the best of luck.
As for lag, it was noticeable in some big fights with far less than 100 people.
So for those interested in playing it, give them time to develop it.
I was in beta and had big expectations, wish them luck.
See you guys around...

On the other hand the Perpetuum guys have had the opportunity to learn from CCP's experience. Eg: Dont make nodes run on a single core...
Give me liberty or give me lasers
Great game so far.
Game has a solid base to build on and this from such a small dev team is impressive, I for one am supporting it.
So cya on the 18th.
