visit http://www.swgpetition.com and LEGITIMATLY sign it so we can add to the already high count of some 12,000 signatures and submit it to SOE to tell them off and bring back the old system and FIX it not replace it.
These kind of petitions have NEVER changed anything, only thing SOE will notice is the number of cancelled accounts (& lots of moderations & bans on official forums for "trolling" or whatever they refer to).
Real Life petitions can change stuff since each signature is "real", right now I can sign up (with a fake name) on every online-petition there is without me even knowing anything about the particular subject.
Nah nothing will change SOE doesn't listen to the players, enough bed reviews from respected games sites and dwindiling sales of new accounts is what will make a difference.
Well, I can say that I would not have found this site if had not been for the CU in SWG. I have been playing SWG since its beta days and was absolute enthralled by the overall gameplay it offered. I had played others such as acherons call and eq and such but they never compared to the style the SWG gave me. And then came the CU. How disappointing!! What really has frustrated so many players is the fact that this Combat Upgrade should still be in testing, not on live servers. And to make matters worse the Devs wont respond to any questions on the forums. Its extremely disappointing to see the lack of concern by SOE to its members. And yet with all the pleasding, yelling, griping and complaining about this upgrade, SOE continues to tell everyone how great it is. SOE is so confident they arent releasing any statements on how this CU has affected them in its first week alone. However, their game rating on amazon.com went from 4 stars to 2.5 stars. Ebgames has over 60 pages of complaints and concerns. Theforce.net is publishing articles asking why the players of galxies is in an uproar. The cancel subscription button doesnt work half the time, players are have to call sony directly to cancel subscriptions. And yet SOE swears that everyone loves it and it a great sucess. Guess we will have to wait and see. I for one have cancelled all 3 of my accounts. I also have 4 cousins who did the same. ANd we are looking forward to the Star Trek mmorpg coming soon.
On a higher note, I would like to say that i am very impressed with this site and I am happy to have come across it. I look forward to spending a lot of time here.

Will it actually make a difference? I think they have made their minds up.
As for the the petition - its meaningless. The players complain on forums, protest ingame, sign petitions....it amounts to nothing. Because at the end of the day SOE can still count their money. If you realy dont like whats happening (in any game) then cancel your account. Money talks.
I'm not all that bothered by the CU, I also didn't ask for a change. I have a dark jedi, and a MBH, I still hold my own as I did in the last combat system. I'm affraid you all seem to be wasting your time trying to get the old system back. The players that cried for the re-balance, you got what you asked for... I'm tired of hearing all the negative about it. There will always be a player base for this game.. either play it, or quit. /sweep.

Even unhappy customers are still paying customers
precisely
Right now there are 15k+ signatures.. maybe 13k of them are legit signatures.
If half of those people quit, thats over 100k$ a month in lost subscriptions.
SOE may not care, but when they report a 100K$ loss to Sony, some heads are gonna roll!
