Hey people, i havent played ww2 in like over 6 months by now i think, how's the new patches been? is it worth coming back to play yet? i mainly left because of controls program i had(plane kept leanin left ALL the time and could never figure out why)

Its good. 1.19 is supposed to be out soon (rerelease patch) and the boxed version Beyond Blitzkrieg is out next month. a lot of major changes are starting to take place and Brigade Spawning is almost here. Its worth another look.
Brigade Spawning is still months away. We are getting Brigade Signup with 1.19, but not Brigade Spawning.

Its close. My guess is 1.20 (wishful thinking) or 1.21
I will be taking a month long break from WWIIO [had about 500 play time hours since January. I deserve a break!] due to finals so hopefully the new patches will come before I come back

Some planes roll left because of engine torque. Learn to trim the plane and it will fly straight.
Omg i dont know what to write
1 hour ?
wow i wonder what you have seen from the game
Everyone has their opinion and you have to respect the fact that he tried the game. Some people will just not try it and that is where the problem lies.
An hour isn't nearly enough time though.
Life can be tapped
Most experienced players would think, I expect, that it would take at least twenty hours of playing WWIIOL, plus some time outside the game learning the technical specifications of the weapons and other equipment i.e. armor thickness specs, to be far enough up the learning curve to have a beginning understanding of the game.
WWIIOL's learning curve is both steeper and higher than that of any other MMOLG.
That's to be expected for a game that attempts to model real world behaviors wherever possible using realistic physics and historical data, and makes few if any concessions to easy play or a simple learning process. To play WWIIOL, you have to know about as much as the real soldiers knew...more, in some respects.
this kind of game takes a very long time to master. You need to play it for at least 2-3 months to really "see it all", to make a fair judgement of the whole game
WW2OL is a complex game.
Perhaps it is better to think of it as 4 games in 1.
An excellent Armor simulator.
A very good Air Combat sim.
A passable first person shooter (when playing as infantry).
A rather poor for the forseeable future naval sim.
All these sims play in the same world using the same game engine. All interacting with each other in the usual combat mayhem.
This all takes place in a 1/2 scale Europe. 1200x1200km.
The campaigns start with the May 14th 1940 positions and continues for an average of 8 real time weeks untill one side or the other achieves the victory conditions. (85% of map ownership I think.)
Territory is captured in a capture the flag style play that is moderated by some timers and enabling Area's of operations.
Playing with a squad the the best way to learn the ropes and enjoy the game.
Using teamspeak for voice comms is also very helpfull for havign a good time with your team mates playing ww2ol.
In short, one hour is probably insufficient time to know whether or not you will ultimately enjoy the game.
