Just picked up CE on Ebay

For $15. I figured for that price, there's no point in not trying it out. So yea, I'll be trying out this game more than just at a buddy's house for a few hours. If anyone is still on the fence, I've seen new copies go for $7-8 on eBay.
Anyone have any recommendations on the server, or want me to come play with them?

For how much time I spent in this particular form, $15 is nothing. Also, I found a $20 bill on the floor at WalMart today so it's all paid for by some random unlucky person.

Mysidia and Selbina are very good servers with huge populations in all 3 major timezones (JP/EU/NA). Mysidia has a big JP population that is very friendly, Selbina is the unofficial server of ffxiv.zam.com.
Well, I hope you enjoy yourself. But for me the game has way too many flaws to bother with.
Mysidia and Selbina or whatnot seem pretty populous

I'd stay away from Fabul pretty dead at night (800ish players)

Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
Come to Selbina if you are PST, if you are EST it might not be as good as Mysidia for you, but it has a great community and will be your best chance at seeing the game for what it's worth.
