Lotro, content is awesome, but in the end gameplay was boring for me I did not find the visuals of the classes fun, nor did I find much versatility in the classes could be just my opinion.
Eq2 ohhhhh it changed so much, so much in fact the game is to easy now, so much the game does not need cc anymore, I am completely frustrated with group play in eq2, there are just to many classes and content is to dumbed down for us that want to do more then just dps all day or just heal, oh and of course the game is dying the community and etc, since I paid for it I might as well play this month but I really feel like I wasted my money. I am having a hard time finding a fun class for me.
I usually enjoy versatile characters that have mostly ranged or a mix of range and melee.
Anyways any suggestions of other mmorpgs would be appreciative thanks all.

Try Vanguard until Rift releases.
Playing: Rift, LotRO
Waiting on: GW2, BP
Hmmm I hear the servers are dead, so id rather not im big on grouping and the game seems to be a much bigger time sink then eq2, I am currently downloading the free trial to aoc didnt know they had one, but I am dissapointed that all the magic classes have to do with demons and evil stuff, that does not make sense considering there was an actual wizard in the first conan movie.
Just not into evil like classes.
I'm kinda confused as to what you're looking for. You don't like LoTRO due to endgame being boring. EQ2 has probably the best grouping / raiding endgame on the market. The content in the last expansion is actually harder than any before. It's been almost a year for the expac and even the easiest of the Hard-Mode raid encounters are only being killed by a few guilds. Only like 10 guilds worldwide have cleared the expansion, if that. It's the longest it's ever taken.
If you're comparing EQ2 low level game is what's been nerfed, specifically to allow people to catch up to higher levels. All but 3 regulars servers are getting merged soon, so populations on those servers will be massive. Unless you're on LDL, your server will be jam-packed later this month post-merge.
If you're not satisfied having to either heal or dps alone, play an inquisitor or a fury. Take it as a challenge to have 2-3k HPS and 25k DPS on every fight.
If you do easy crap, the game will look easy. I don't know for sure, but I highly doubt you did any of the hard endgame content - either for groups or raids. If you have and you think stuff like ZUA and UD is easy, you really have to tell me what you're comparing it to.

In my opinion eq2 is messy, and I am talking about endgame crowd control is extremly pointless now even before end game no one uses it, I do not like this direction personally and to be honest eq2 seems to be a bit of a time sink, never said I did not like lotros end game I just dont like the classes the content however is a breath of fresh air and it rocks, I am considering going back to cox though but im unsure right at this point.
I don't have any notion of a good MMO out right now if you don't like the standard MMO formula (which it sounds like you are a bit tired of). Personally I've decided to pretty much just wait until GW2 comes out.
I own the original gw but couldnt get into it, community is bad grouping is bad and way to linear what will gw2 be like you think? Oh and you can only roll human you have no idea how much I hate that in games.
Yes I am tired of it but I need something fun it doesnt have to hardcore I am more on the casual side anyways but something that holds interest on my days off when i got 4 5 hours to play at a time, I also switch between sp games and mmorpgs so I dont always play one.
Everquest ONE. Start on the 50/50 server and find a good guild.
If you are into sandboxes, EvE.
If you prefer fantasy MMOs, Aion...maybe
Want some pvp-centric MMOs? Darkfall or (if you don't mind it being a bit older) Dark Age of Camelot
Eve was interesting when I played it long ago, but to be honest pve side is pretty boring to me not my kind of sci fi game.
Some of the newer MMOs seem to been flawed (Fallen Earth), failed to meet expectations (FF XIV), or were released too early (STO). I have gone back to playing MMOs that had rocky starts and then got renovated or fixed. Currently playing Vanguard (Awesome game now that it works) and POTBS (Power & Prestige expansion, sailing ship PVP fun).
GW2 is very different from GW and also very different from other MMOs. It will most definitely be very casual friendly (and non-linear). Hmm, brief overview...
Stranger-friendly. If someone comes up and whacks on a monster you are killing and kills it (and does a legitimate amount of work), then you both get full experience and full loot. All public content scales to the number of players. It's going to be basically impossible to grief someone.
No traditional questing. Zones are chock-full of event points that are linked together. If Centaurs are attacking a village, then they aren't standing around outside the village and you don't get a little quest you have to pick up to save the village. Instead you see them attacking the village and if you do nothing people there will die and the village will be taken over or destroyed. This isn't isolated and what happens at the village will affect other events points connected to it. It's a really awesome dynamic event system.
5 races, 8 professions. Things are designed to be a lot easier to balance than GW1 so that you don't have build wars where if you don't have build Y or X then you won't be able to do dungeons with others (though the dynamic events in the outside world scaling with the number of players and being stranger friendly means you never have to do a dungeon if you don't want to).
No Holy Trinity combat.
Server vs. Server vs. Server PvP across several zones.
That's the basics, but there's a lot more to it.
You sound like a good canidate for Vindictus.
It's one of the few that is actually free, the only thing game changing that you can buy are extra tokens (which = more playtime), that aspect has really soured a lot of people, but since you're looking to fill 4-5hrs on your days off then the need to extend your playtime shouldn't be a problem.
(Token system works like this: They are used to enter mid-high lvl dungeons, and as a free player you'll get 50 that reset three times throughout the week, which is more than enough for casual playtime.)
Take a break from MMO altogether for awhile like I have. Play Dragon Age Origin or Starcraft II anything single player for just a bit to get you to stand back and consider what you enjoy about MMOs and then come back.
Guild wars to sounds interesting it now has my attention, but I am truly excited for dc universe and star wars, but we shall see. I think I heard that vindicta game only has like 3 attacks or something, not sure if I want to try it, cannot afford dragon age right now so really im interested in mostly mmorpgs, downloading age of conan right now although it seems all the casters are evil like not much of a choice there.
I am enjoying city of heroes but I want to play villian arch types on hero side later, and I really dont have the money to buy the rogue expansion at 30 40 bucks just to do that and starting to think it isnt worth it.
