are you satisfied with the Defiant race designs?
To me, I would like to see the Defiant's races to get a redesign. They look too similar. I want something a bit more unique.

Aesthetically speaking, they leave a little something to be desired. Which is not to say that I want some hulk or gnome models. They fit well within the "humanoid" appearance most easily empathized with.
But as far as backstory and lore, I think Trion has done a fine job. Each race feels interesting, original, and above all beleivable.
Actually, I like the race design. I am not a fan of furry races or dwarves or something and I think that the designs are well-done and still distinctive enough to be interesting to many.
I rather like the Eft and Bahmi. Can't say I'm a fan of the Kelari. That is more taste preference than anything though.
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
I mean appearance, not lore. the races dont see to vary much in figure. I seen other mmorpg with Races that look very different from each other. I am sure RIFT could have done the same. I would like a revamp to the race models.
I think you're looking at poor examples. The 3 races look nothing alike. Bahmi look very distinct, especially the males. Eth are regular humans and Kelari are darker-skinned elves.
I can't say i'm thilled with any of the art designs, but I am certainly not having any trouble distinguishing them from each other.
Unless your complaint is that there are no furries in Rift, which is valid enough. But for every cool furry race (Ratonga = win) there is a totally retarted pokemon-like race (Tarutaru = fail). So given that Rift currently doesn't have any totally idiotic-looking races, I'd rather not jinx it.

I wasn't too pleased when I looked at the pictures shown above. Luckily from some of the screenshots I am a bit more pleased with the defiant side. I feel like the defiant more fit my reasoning in actual life so I feel like I'll have a good fit there.

Considering I hate stupid races (I'm looking at you EQ/VSoH) I'm extremely happy with the more limiting aspects of the Rift lore.
Nothing breaks my immersion faster than partying with ratmen.
They're god damned ratmen...I'd murder the hell out of them for yuks, there's no reason for me to be partying with them.

The screenshots I've seen of in game characters look great and I have no issues with them. The concept images in the OP don't do the in game characters any justice.
Having watched some customization videos on Youtube each race has a ton of customization within itself.

I find the Defiant races to be so unsatisfying that it almost turns me off of the game entirely.
So no, I'm not happy with the choices.

Whats the other faction look like? Blue blood white boys?
100% no, its just human races with a few different characteristics....
