They deserve their success, i'm quite happy for them.
Just hope they wont be greedy, will listen to their beta testers, and give us lot of fun for the next years
The concept and implementation are good and I look forwards to the official launch. Maybe one day we will get world of ships and world of planes on a similar principle. Good work.
One niggle however. Without wanting to go into long technical details, it is apparent that there is a very considerable bias in the game towards Russian tanks. They are clearly better than German tanks at the same tiers (or levels) and even more significantly better than US tanks. I would accept some degree of revisionism in the interests of game balance, but they have gone beyond the balancing to the point where not choosing a Russian vehicle is usually a mistake, with a couple of german exceptions, and alays a mistake in relation to choosing a US vehicle.
Its ok in a beta, but I fear that when the game launches, the reaction in the west may be a little annoyed by the excessive bias.
I have to agree on its bias to Russian tanks i was starting to wonder if its because its a Russian developed game and they want to show superiority. It can leave you very frustrated at some points.
But it is a great fun game and i have played it alot so its worth a go
Thats because its mostly hystorically accurate.
And Russian's did have the best tanks in WW1-WW2, with Germans going second and Americans going way way in the backburner(the average american tank during WWII did not survive for longer than a week)

Got to agree with Yuui here, to a degree. Simple fact is Allied tanks were inferior to German tanks, and the russian T34, while not as good individually maybe as, say a Panther, could certainly hold it's own. They were also cheaper to make and easier to operate, and there were lots of them.
Russian tanks were also more reliable than the German tanks, so add superior numbers and better reliability and you can see why they did so well.
1v1 I'd have to say the Panther was a better tank though, as long as it was running.
Exacta. Russian tanks focused on durability and mass-production and less on tech-freshness, while german' had hi-tech(for that time) glass cannons, and americans/itallians/japanese(most of japanese tanks were experimental one-model versions of whacky ideas tho)- the coffins on wheels

Guys you may want to examine the performance and specifications of the various tanks. Therussian T34 was indeed a good tank for its time, but it was not superior to the sherman, you only have to look at them going head to head in korea and see for yourselves. The US didnt build any heavy tanks till 1957, but their medium tanks were largely superior to russian tanks historically because they mounted proper anti tank guns (the british had even better guns) however world of tanks makes HE shells more effective than anti tank guns. So russian tanks, using converted howitzers, which hostorically were very inferior, actually end up being better.
The Germans had the best tanks, the Tiger and Tiger 2 should be vastly better than anything anyone else is making. Historically however they were too expensive and russians and americans rellied on numbers to swamp them. But the germans used better grade steel and sloped armour and proper anti tank guns. The russian tanks had to rush them in waves so that some of them would survive to get behind the germans.
SPG's. The americans had the best SPG's in the war. They also had very high levels of radio usage in all tanks and SPG's, whilst the russians did not use radios in their tanks. The russian spg's in game didnt exist for the most part. So how is it the americans now have the worst SPG's in the game?
The reality is that american medium tanks should be generally better than most russian equivalents, and german tanks in general should mostly be better than anyone elses except for the very early models which sucked badly. At the start of the war, the russians did have the best tank, in the T34. But other than that, it was downhill from there.
The game is good, but suggesting it is accurate is totally wrong.
More examples.
Tank speed: German speed for tanks was measured as cross country speed. Russian speed was taken as road speed.
Gin Penetration: German guns were tested and rated based on penetrating a piece of steel sloped at a 45 degree angle and acceptable results were based on 100% penetration. Russian guns were tested on a flat piece of steel and 50% penetration was considered acceptable.
Totally different rating systems and they were translated as is into the game. The truth is a Tiger could penetrate a russian heavy tanks frontal armour at over 1km whereas a russian tank could only manage to penetrate a Tigers armour at point blank range if at all.
