You know what would be spiffy? A super hero MMO that wasn't stylized in a way that looked childish. We clearly have the technology, just look at Blade & Soul, TERA, Aion, Vindictus, etc. Instead, we get DCU and Champions online. CoX is old, so they sort of have an excuse, and graphics are admittedly a small gripe...but, why can't we get a bit more realism : Or at least, stylized in a way that didn't look so plastic, like action figures.

Marvel needs to make their own MMO in the worst way. Sigh.

This game is awesome. Thats all I can say...sadly. But it is, I never paid any attention at all to this, got an invite and am loving every second of it. I never had this much fun ever.

Can't really understand why not, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Good-luck elsewhere. I know they sold me on this game already, I bought it. It really isn't like the normal "MMO" out there. The only thing that it has in common is the massively multiplayer online bit.

Super fun for sure. I can't really play it out of my system  like you usually do with most betas. It's like my inner childhood's super geeky, super hero loving side just gets unleashed. lol it's a pretty epic feeling.

If Marvel again made an MMO it would look like Champions online and DC Universe.  You know why?  Because that's what the comic books they make look like.  Just be happy with your Manga and it's offspring MMO's.  Aion, Vindictus?... seriously.

I hope we don't see a more realistic super hero MMO. From what I've seen from screen shots and etc. the game looks good and really gives that comic book feel.

Then of course all the ones you named are more of an oriental theme which basically says you are looking for more of an eastern look which is fine, but something like DCUO just doesn't fit in with the whole anime thing.

Then we seem to differ on the term childish, I find WoW to be childish, you seem to find the comic book style childish as that is what this is. If that is the case though, it begs the question why check on a Comic Book themed MMO when you know it's going to have comic book style graphics and animation if thats not a style you like?

Btw lol, the way CO looks is how the Marvel MMO would have looked lol. Cryptic was the one working on the Marvel MMO and reused much of it in CO lol.

I'm completely sold.  AWESOME game.  All I can say...for now.

Actually marvels mmo was champions up until marvel backed out and cryptic had to get another super hero ip to use in the game, then marvel made marvel super hero squad for the young gamer mmo market. The simple fact is comic book = comic book style, the comics that tend to do the lest well are the ones that try to deviate to much from what people think of as a comic look. Even if marvel did make one it would either be cell shaded which, while giving a faux 3d effect, is still cartoonish. Or stylized somewhere between clone wars or action figure style. This comes from knowing your audiance, the live action stuff never seems to do as well as the cartoons in the comic book universe, mainly because they stuff they do isn't humanly possible.

You sound like you need a Marvel MMO as opposed to a DC MMO.. Much as I love Marvel, I doubt I would ever willingly play a Marvel MMO as Marvel typically treats story second and art first. Just in the little bit of DCUO I have seen I can tell that story will be there once they get the mechanics settled in.

Marvel would see awesome powers and awesome characters... but practically no complete stories if there game is like unto their comic books.

Oh, and Jim Lee is the art director for DCUO... so they have the art and graphics on point.
