WoW OR GW?!?!?!

hi, my b-day is coming up, so i want to get a good mmorpg with the money i get.  I have come to the conclusion (after a lot of research) that i want one of two games.  World of Warcraft, or Guild Wars.  I tried gw in the Jan. beta test i think.  it was ok, but i lost interest in it, (and anyother mmorpg, really) when i figured that i didnt want to spend 50 dollars on a game at the moment.  now that i have money, i want to get one, soooo.   I want a game that will last me a long time.  For some reason, i just want to be obsesed with it.  Monthly price doesnt matter, even though gw doesnt have one.  Just give your opinion on it, and why u like wow, or dont and why you do or dont like gw. thanks for your time.

    See Guild wars has the highest rating on the home page... 2nd is WoW so choose Guild Wars... Happy Birthday imageimageimageimage

    Depends on what you like, Have you played a mmorpg before?

     

    If you want a deeper story and combat system, and just all around alot more .....deep Choose WoW

    If your looking for a more "action" Packed mmorpg (if there is such a thing) then choose gw, its alot simpler and cooler to watch.

    thanks jack!  and i've kinda played mmorpg's before,  i tried a gw beta test, it was pretty cool.  i didnt like planetside at all,  i've played about 5 min of minutes of star wars galaxies and didnt like it, maybe becuase it wasnt my character, and i didnt know what was going on.  uhhhh, runescape was just stupid( a browser based mmorpg) sooo, thats it. thanks for your time again!

    If you like PvP then GW would be your best bet. But if you prefer PvE or a mixture of both I think WoW will have more to offer you in the long run. Since you've already tried GW in its beta form (and it hasn't changed all that much since then) I would suggest you give WoW a shot and see how you like it.

    If you like doing quests: WoW is your choice. I played that game but stopped only because I am not a quest person. I rejoinned eve-online because of its PvP-system. Eve-online has the best pvp-system game out there.

    I've only played Guild Wars and not WoW, so I have to recommend the game I've played. :)

    Give guild wars a try first. main reason because its free(no monthly sub)

    I play both, I would have to go with WoW for the long term becuase it is an MMoPPG. GW if you want a few hour burst of fast past PvP here  and there.

    I play both, and God of War. Their all good games::::19:: Personally I'd go with WoW if you can afford the sub.

    I'm too spoiled to give you an honest answer.  To me, these two both suck.  If I had to chose one of these games to play or face certain death, after a few minutes of wondering if death would be more fun, I'd have to say WoW over GW.  ...  But like people have said:  WoW = MMORPG, GW = Fast action frag-fest
